ORIGINAL: Cell What do you mean must be a pattern? It means a lot of us took the test from just our human side, not especially the kink side. It also has a great deal to do with what each "statement" means to you personally. I didn't hit 100% dark, because there were a few questions, no matter how I looked at them, they were not me. However, if you look at each question and "translate" it to imply complete selfishness, you'd disagree with it. How I translated each question is from A-Z and how it effected me. quote:
I like to use clever manipulation to get my way I do. I do it every chance I get. My livelihood is based on sales. I am not dishonest, however I am one hell of a salesman. Every time I have a person interested in what I am selling, I will absolutely judge them based on appearance, transportation, vernacular, and articulation. I will present myself as a peer to them mirroring their vernacular and articulation and when all is said and done whatever they pay is, was, and always will be their idea. Most people selling a "money is tight" story show up in their worse clothes but nice shoes. Jus sayin Therein lies the difference between people and cultures. I have no wish to manipulate anyone. That to me is a 'winning at all costs' mentality, and if you can't 'win' through being straight down the line, no bollocks, then there is no pleasure in 'winning' at least for me. I would say that if you are basing your persona on manipulation, then you are dishonest - moreover full of shit. I suppose it depends upon what values you hold dear. To me, it is far better to 'lose' and do it in a manner that is in keeping with the spirit of fair play, than it is to behave like an animal in order to 'win'. Which is the point I was making when the resident life and soul of the party stepped in with her half-arsed comment. As the great Aristotle once said: most people are only interested in the outcome and will do anything, possibly even sell their own Grandmas providing the outcome suited them; while a small minority of people hold principles dear and will stand by those principles whatever the outcome. He didn't say anything about Grandmas - I've added that for effect. Remember, you may get your way but in the end when you look in the mirror you can't really say to yourself: "this is me, this is what I stand by and I'm proud of myself". All you can say is: "I'll do anything to get what I want".
