I won't repeat everything I already posted in the "pouring my heart out" thread, but
long story short when I find the Dom I am looking for and finaly do take the plunge, basicly I expect
to be that person's captive and property for the rest of my life. This is something I have been
mentally preparing myself for for years, and I know that once I do it, it is going to profoundly
alter my life. My only question is for people who have already done this is how did it feel and how
long did it take to adjust to the new life?

I know there are many different "levels"/variations of BSDM but the one I am seeking will defently be life changing (Almost completly giving up my freedom fo starters) and I am sure there are others here who have gone through a simaler experience I am headed to. Thoughts?

We didn't do that. We didn't set up rigid expectations and try to mold ourselves to fit it. We just naturally related this way to each other.

We started by talking and becoming friends, not as dom/sub. We fell in love. We talked all the time about what worked for us and what didn't and why. We made whatever changes were required for the relationship to thrive.

Seriously, it is a nice fantasy but what if the person's life changes? What if they decide they don't want you anymore?

It sounds a bit like kids talking how they're going to be train drivers and astronauts, etc.
