I dont recall that being my position in that broad of a context. Many people that I know in both criminal and civil have experienced the same kind of treatment from the wisconsin state courts and usually try to go directly to the federal courts where at this point they still stand a little bit of a chance. As far as muni courts are concerned you may as well just lube up and keep your mouth shut. The US judicial system at large is a fucking travesty and abomination in every aspect of gubblemint.

For those who did not watch the series or do not have it available to them, here is a short snippet from reddit:

It's just unbelievable the range of emotions you'll go through while watching this. It's sheer and utter insanity. I wanted to throw stuff at my laptop.

I had to stop watching while they were interrogating the boy. It made me so angry that there was no lawyer in the room. How can that be legal with a minor? I'm going to have to wait until I can be more rational before I go back.

When Brendan asked if he'd be done by 2 because he had a school project due, my heart just broke. It was so obvious this kid had no understanding of what was happening to him. I had to take a break too, and yes, it gets much worse.

I know some one who was in jail with him. He said they had him all drugged up and he was basically just a shell. Very sad.

I watched the series and experienced the same outrage that you expressed here. I guess we have differing recollections about your many writings about sheriffs.

And worse.

I was angry after watching the series. With each episode my anger grew. The evidence presented was utter bullshit. The investigation was weak and careless. There were way too many flaws and unanswered questions. A conviction was the goal, not convicting the guilty party.

I think Avery could have possibly done it. It's possible. Nothing that I have read or watched convinced me one way or the other. And I tried scouring the Internet for other possible information in favor of the prosecutors. I found nothing of substantial substance.

I do hope that new evidence is found in Avery's favor that can win him a new trial.

As for Dassey, that conviction left me speechless. How could the jury not see what a crock his "confession" was?
