Oh my. A few reactions.

-- This thread takes on a whole new edge of surreality when read--okay, skimmed--in a hospital room.

-- Given that I visit the site daily, I'm amazed at how oblivious I can be to drama swirling all around me.

-- I'm almost starting to miss Mod XI.

At this point any Mod would do as far as I'm concerned.

Hear Ye hear Ye,
I also one was called the Redqueen who was bat shit crazy, and was thrown in exile and dethroned. I always liked the white queen better she has a much better disposition. Throws fairy dust into the air and whispers "sweet freedom"
Hits the gravel to the desk.
He shall be a man this time of fineness, fairness, and positive power and benevolence! Take thee vote. ( oh and no cattiness)
Anyway, this is quite a mind googling thread. Thought it needed a bit more drama and silliness. Smiles like the Cheshire Cat. Meow.

I'm over the Gorean moderator reveal. Now, can I be a moderator? I promise to faithfully follow the Code and not be partial to Goreans which is easy since we do like strangers and protecting the weak and women in general. Perfect moderator. Yes. And if you hear me say "NADU" it only means the word "bitches" is to immediately follow as a way of showing where you rank on this forum I'm taking over soon.

Sorry, but nope!

It was only a spot of fun I was having with Deviant D, mate. Pointing out the fallacy of making such a bold statement which in essence objects to bold statements. In a light-hearted fashion.

I suppose I could get philosophical about it and go into the whole don't fool yourself that we're a reasonable species believing that life is about opinions and all opinions matter. That's a monumental fabrication of 'the truth'.

We can all be philosophical about life when we're at rest, but in the cut and thrust of life a good proportion of people are dealing in facts no matter how factual those facts are. Just think of your work and the nonsense that goes on there.

A wise man once said: human beings are much closer to animals than they will ever to be God. And, he was a very wise man indeed and ideas have stood the test of time.

It's nice to think that we're reasonable, objective, don't deal in absolutes etc, but that line of thought is a product of The Enlightenment and it has, to the curious observer. been proven wrong time and time again.

Human beings are very dangerous and actually are hard-wired towards absolutes.

We're like dogs fed bones to keep us happy and away from grand ideas because I'm afraid that's the way it has to be otherwise all hell will break loose (apt for this thread I think).

On the plus side, in the event you follow this line of thinking then you realise that your best of course action is to cage as many women as you possibly can in advance of some serious whipping, fisting and fucking.

That's good, I've read your posts up to now as favouring universal statements, if you can see an issue now, then maybe you can find an issue with that as well.

I'm not really saying these things because I think people's opinions matter lol, more because I think we mere mortals can't grasp the truth, and so our only real hope is to try and understand things as best we can. That's why I try to consider context and outcomes and all that... I tend to allow for exceptions. I feel like there's some wisdom in embracing the uncertainty in that way.

Haha, well, better to deal in facts that aren't true than truth we can't know? In all seriousness though, it's what happens in the cut and thrust that interests me.

I agree I think, though part of both is perhaps the take away message. (Albeit, a 'God' that transcends religion...)

Well, I seem to muddle through somehow. >_<

How did this thread move on to theorizing about absolutes?

My two cents. I am not friends with anybody here. I have clashed with probably almost everybody at one stage of time.

But reading this as neutral outsider, kinda make Rawni look bad. Because many ppl reading it would have no idea it's little clip. By simply Rawni bringing attention to it, makes EVERYBODY know it's little clip.

Seriously, who started the drama?

It was just a simple thread about what to do with a used collar. And should've stayed that way and anonymous with all the parties involve. Even when little clip bidded for it. Seriously, anybody not following LP personal life would have no clue. People like me. That thread alone, many commented didn't know what's going on and who's the sub involve until Rawni outed him. Who was the unprofessional person in that thread?

And guess what? I have been in this forum for so long and ONLY TODAY after reading that link did I know littleclip is LP's x-sub. I never even knew that! This forum is also for international users who have no clue about the behind happenings and anybody's personal life here and not just the tiny community who seem to know each other in real life ya know.

The way Rawni posted she assumed everybody knows already, so she mine as well out him.

I agree (don't faint)
All but a handful of people can understand this thread and yet its gone on for 10 pages, mostly by that handful of people who know what the hells going on. To the rest of us its like a cryptic puzzle that can only be partly unravelled because the puzzle makers forgot to add any formula hints.

You might want to sit down for this one too. Because I agree as well.

As an American on the board, I didn't know about the relationships between people on the thread until the OP posted it. I did have a suspicion once the sub in question posted, and had it continued that way even without Rawni outing him, it would have become apparent to all, I think.

But as for the reasons that the OP gave for posting the link, I think that was a big fail.

I wasn't on the boards when all this went down, but I've been around for awhile now though some of the events mentioned here have been alluded to, it hasn't been that frequent and was vague enough that I never picked up on the connections.
