Yes, I know it has nothing to do with BDSM or D/s. It can also be an invitation for zealots to tell you about Jesus the desert island companion. The question is not limited to real people.

My stock answers are:

1) William Shakespeare, so I can teach him Italian geography.
2) Xena: Warrior Princess. If we get attacked by 20 head hunters she can take 19 while get take on the scrawny guy.

(She might not want to have sex, but at least the scenery will be good.

) Besides, after a few months she get us off the island in a half hour.

Oh I once had someone ask a variation of this. What books would you want. I kinda killed conversation by saying Raft Making for Dummies and Stellar Navigation Made Easy.

I think I'd want a good loyal dog, maybe two, so they could have puppies. A dog can see you through the worst of things and what a pal! Keep ya warm at night, good guard dog, catch ya some rabbits or birds - for some good eating!

Andddddddd hmmm ... does the dog(s) count as a person or people? lol

If limited to humans, I suppose a good chef might be a good idea, or a gardener. Perhaps a storyteller?

Someone that knows herbs for healing maybe. lol

Screw it - I have no real idea. LOL!

On the humor side, I figured a Vampire might be cool - eventually you could then fly (depending on which vampire thing you go for, lol)

This is a good one...

i'd say Anthony Kiedis, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers (a rock band for those unfamiliar)
b/c he's attractive, and has a great voice...could sing some lullabies to me.

also, i'd love to bring my nephews (ages 2 and 5) because i'd like to be able to be silly, tell them stories, and watch them grow up.

This question is difficult for me to answer.

First off, I have a background in reading such works as Sartre's No Exit, wherein one discovers that Hell is other people. So I guess my first question would be how big is the island and can I hide somewhere?

That stated, I would have to say that personality and intelligence mean a lot more to me than physical attributes. Angelina Jolie is quite lovely, but I dont know her well enough to say she wouldnt bore me enough to throw myself off a cliff to prevent procreation with 2 weeks.

Roseanne Barr would certainly never be boring, although I imagine I would spend the time celibate because nothing says "Save your virginity for Death" like that nasal voice of hers.

I can think of a number of males that would be interesting to be stranded with, but lacking much interest in having sex with other guys, and the fact that I am a Scorpio who would be willing to try as hard as I could to screw myself to death, Im not sure I would end up picking one.

The funny part about this question is I lived off the land on Catalina Island for a month with 2 friends after we graduated from high school. So part of me is thinking "been there, done that."

You should take a month off and do a reality television show. Is Survivor still around anyway?
