First, I meant 120K years ago, thats right. You are right, I was wrong, I meant universe. But I said sun.

However, the law is largely in Johnson's favor. Each violation, even if it involves a sign affixed to a door an inch too high or low, can carry a $4,000 civil penalty, but more importantly, the loser must pay the other party's legal fees. And the longer the case drags through court, the bigger the bill, so many businesses choose to settle. Five of the Bay Area businesses sued since October have already paid confidential settlements.

That is what the newspaper said and I am sure you believe it. I am not that trusting. I would like to see the law.

All corporate taxation is, is a pass through tax on to consumers.

This is a clear admission by you of collusion amongst the corporations. Why is it that none would seek market share by maintaining the price and paying the tax?

Oh I think that happens all of the time with smart businesses.

Doesn't it hurt your mouth when you talk out of both sides of it at the same time?

For instance, Walmart loves all of the new environmental laws because they, or companies that size, are the only ones who can afford to implement them and stay in business.

Which laws would these be?

Yeah, some pretty serious flaws in that. Why is Hansen the godfather?

See, there you go thinking actual science has anything to do with it.

Hansen's the godfather because, in testimony to congress, he likened the trains carrying coal to power utilities, to the holocaust genocide. Thus setting the stage for environmental witch hunt we have today.

Phydeaux -> RE: So.. what moron said... (4/15/2016 2:40:11 PM)

Uh huh.

Its really not that complicated, actually. Lefties like to bruit that 15 of the last 16 hottest years have been in the last x years. Ignoring that the temperature increases have, for the most part, been infinitesmal.

In other words, the IPCC predicted temperature rises of 1.2 degrees per decade. Whereas, for example, the 2014 rise was .04 degrees. One third the predicted amount.
Now, 2015 - shattered the world with a .13 degree temperature rise. Which means for the first time in 17 years temperature rises match what the ipcc projected.

We have a word for a theory that consistently fails to predict data: Wrong. As in - the IPCC has been consistently wrong over its temperature projections.

Let alone the fact that the various places you quote have been implicated in no less than 7 temperature 'fixing' scams. Such as this one: http://articles.latimes.com/2007/aug/15/science/sci-temp15

Just because I can:
(Benson and James, 2005; Thomas et al., 2005; James et al., 2007).
Fenton et al. (2006) and Fenton et al. (2007)
(Marcus et al., 2006). Baines et al. (2007)
(Lockwood and Thompson, 2002; Lockwood and Jerzykiewicz, 2006; Hammel and Lockwood, 2007).
Hammel and Lockwood (2007)
Elliot et al. (1998)
(Hansen and Paige, 1996; Brown, 2002; Pasachoff et al., 2005). (Elliot et al., 2007)
(Pasachoff et al., 2005).

These and other studies have shown warming trends on mars, jupiter, uranus, triton, pluto etc. Including a 2 C temperature rise on triton. And melting polar ice caps on mars.

One thing we can be sure of is that CO2 on the earth has no effect on global warming on other planets. Given that - I am curious how global warming advocates think that temperatures on other planets can rise - and yet think the earth immune.

Believers in AGW have no answer. One of the many reasons that I find Svenmark's (and now others) theory of more persuasive.

I await with baited breath your brilliant rebuttal.

Let's keep in mind the .13 degrees is in an El Niño year. It's a heat radiator and doesn't mean the heat is cumulative.

FORT COLLINS — William Gray, a pioneer in hurricane forecasting, died Saturday in Fort Collins, Colorado State University announced. He was 86.

Phil Klotzbach, Gray's longtime assistant, said Gray began researching hurricanes in 1984, long before national hurricane forecasters began publishing their forecasts.

"His research on hurricanes was remarkable. He was one of the first researchers to determine why hurricanes were global, looking at water-temperature patterns and wind shear," Klotzbach said.

In addition to his research, Gray also published seasonal hurricane forecasts, predicting the number and severity of hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean.

Gray, who started at CSU in 1961, retired from his faculty post in 2005, but he continued hurricane and climate research as a professor emeritus until his death, Klotzbach said.

According to a September 2006 Denver Post article, Gray was recognized as a strident climate change critic. "It's a big scam," he said.

Gray was especially critical of mathematical models run by supercomputers that projected climate trends. He used words like "fraud" or "gang" to describe the modelers.

Gray was head of the university's Tropical Meteorology Project and won the Neil Frank Award of the National Hurricane Conference in 1995 for his research contributions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gray got his start as a weather forecast officer for the U.S. Air Force in 1953. He earned a doctorate in geophysical sciences from the University of Chicago, and he joined the new Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University in 1961.

Gray had a major impact on meteorology, with more than 70 of his graduate students now in the field, Klotzbach said.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

Phil, like you, is full of shit.

The Joint Hurricane Warning Center (JHWC) was established on 14 July 1943, when the Weather Bureau’s Hurricane Warning Service office was transferred from Jacksonville, Fla

the Navy’s hurricane hunting mission to provide weather reconnaissance of Atlantic hurricanes and Pacific typhoons. In a way hurricane reconnaissance is the longest-running humanitarian effort in U.S. history. Between 1943 and 1975, U.S. Navy patrol and specialized weather reconnaissance squadrons flew hurricane and typhoon reconnaissance flights to locate, track, and provide storm information crucial for U.S. Weather Bureau-issued warnings and forecasts. In addition, Navy aircraft and personnel have also participated in scientific research vital to gaining a better understanding of one of nature’s most awesome forces.
