I joined but something isn't working right. I don't know it may work later because that's how this stuff goes sometimes but I try to log in and and it says that I'm logged but I'm not because it doesn't show me anything to edit my profile. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Great. I'm replying to my own post. Does anyone have any humanity and is there someone willing to help on this? I'm not understanding why I'm "approved" yet I can't get into create or edit a profile. Apparently, the tech support is completely a volunteer thing.

The only way is support Im afraid, but if you can login and message on the forum, you should be able to get to your profile by clicking on the " My Profile " spot up the top right hand corner.
There are issues here with lots of things, but posters cant really do much about fixing it:(

Lucylastic, appreciate the tip but I think you could be confused slightly. I joined collarspace and I can get in this forum but I can't edit my profile for the "personal section or the main area of collarspace.com" that is edited on collarspace, where people describe themselves and put up their pictures. thanks

This could sound overly critical but the statement below, I would see to be a violation of TRUTH IN ADVERTISEMENT to some extent. My experience so far renders the statement below, completely FALSE. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO COLLARSPACE PRIMARY FEATURES. It's been 24 hours since I created a profile and my access to primary features has not occurred.

STATEMENT:
"Creating a free account takes only moments and will give you access to all of Collarspace's primary features such as making a profile, messaging with other users, posting to the Collarchat.com message boards, keeping track of your favorite users as well as access to our chatrooms."

I will not raise any serious stink, anymore than necessary but if there is some tech glitch on collarspace, that will be repaired in the near future and I will get access to primary features in due time ---- that is totally fine with me---- but right now I'm totally in the dark, which is pretty annoying and the techs on the site, have to be aware of this.

I can edit my profile from the forum side just like Lucy explained.

If you are having problems, you need to contact Support on the other side.
Even the Mods on this side cannot help you.

raise a stink all you like, we cant do anything about it.
Yes as I mentioned there are many issues with this site right now, lack of support and moderation is wanting, BADLY.
However your irritability will not help with posters who are attempting to help you.

You login first.

If you can't login, you'll usually get a message explaining why you can't.
Once you've logged in, there is a link at the bottom of the page for Support.


ETA: login on Collarspace.com, not collarchat - two different websites.

The speed with which this turned into an entitled rant against suppoty makes me suspicious that there is definitely a malfunction on this site, but it ain't in editing profiles.

FRUSTRATED!!!!!......So, basically, I'm hitting my head against the wall, at this point. Because the forums, supposedly don't have any techs from CS to help with site support and when I try to contact support , following the instructions below:

Our website uses an interactive support system to allow our staff to efficiently deal with support requests. In order to access this system, you will need to create an account and then click again on the "Support" link at the bottom of the page. This is a simple process which only requires you to select a username and password and supply an email address.

By creating an account, you are not posting any information about yourself publicly on the website and, if your only goal is to contact our support department, there is no need to create a profile when you are given the opportunity to do so. Instead, once you have created your account, click again on the "Support" link at the bottom of the page and you will be taken to our support gateway.

I did everything that was said above. The support link is CIRCULAR and does not actually give the person/member a way to contact them. The last statement above is completely FALSE at this time, there is no support gateway!!

Life goes on, I may check this thread later but it does seem rather hopeless. Thanks for those who did attempt a helping hand of sorts. My complaining is over. I'm on to other stuff.

The forums and the personals are actually two separate entities. Which is a moot point at the moment.

Again, moot point. As far as I'm aware there is currently no one working support on either side of the CS - profiles or forum.
