Col. Andrew Wood had once commanded a Special Forces anti-terrorism team protecting Ambassador Chris Stevens and other diplomats in Libya. In October of 2012, Woods told Congress that one month before the attacks in Benghazi, his team had been removed from Libya by the Obama administration, despite the numerous warnings of impending terrorist attacks. Wood told Attkisson that Special Forces (the ones mentioned in the “spinning up” email from Jeremy Bash) were on their way to Benghazi, but were ordered to turn back.

“Those individuals I know loaded aircraft and got on their way to Benghazi to respond to that incident. They were not allowed to cross the border as per protocol until they got approval from the commander in chief,” Wood explained. “That authority has to come from him or they’re not allowed to enter the country.”

Attkisson told Malzberg, “This is something that the president and the White House has steadfastly denied, but there’s now what I would call an overwhelming body of evidence that leads us to believe that somebody stopped a number of teams and potential rescuers from entering Libya or going to Benghazi to help while those attacks were underway.”

“They could have gotten there before the last two Americans died,” Attkisson noted. “Those attacks went on for eight hours.”

CIA officer says us weapons shipped to Al-qaeda.

Ask yourself: Hillary/Obama overthrew Khadafy. Isis is there now. Was that a good policy.

Consider the following video:http://www.breitbart.com/video/2016/01/13/the-united-west-clinton-obama-benghazi-gun-running-operation-exposed/

Two separate forces were enroute to benghazi - but were stopped.

Even while NATO had full control over Libyan airspace, the administration said the US had to seek libyan approval to move (Bullshit) - and then never sought it.

Yea, I bet this is the first time there have ever been so many unanswered questions about various terrorists plots and attacks. And even though there are still unanswered questions about any number of incidents going back maybe over 100 years. Sometimes we get congressional hearings, sometimes not. Sometimes we get special commissions, sometimes not.

I guess if only because this admin. is still in power, many will insist on asking them and whether or not they feel any ridicule is valid. So the fact is, it depends all too often, on one's political perspective, sometimes called partisan bent, to persist in asking them. And the spin to avoid them...equally partisan. Still, the whole process is getting old and just as it supposed to be. The target now though isn't even the current admin., it is to cast doubts and marginalize an equally partisan possible successor. One example might be Iran/Contra and H.W. came out unscathed to the point of being elected anyway, so.....?

Some call it seeking the truth, various admin. officials going back over time, will call it craziness or even lunacy and go so far as to seek to censure those who continue to ask them. One begins to feel pressure and even exasperation in any continued attempt to go on about them.

It is pretty obvious that you think the president murdered those at bengazi. Why do you think he did that?

hey comrade vile critter parts---a few things:

one is, neither one of those are blogs, they are independent news agencies/sources.

second, you recently used a blog for an inane (and fruitless) attack on conservative brains. hypocrisy is ugly no matter which side you are on.

thirdly, and most importantly, given that your approach is overwhelmingly and consistently "attack the sources rather than the content of the material," are you sure some middle school kid isn't hacking into your account??

Its pretty obvious you don't understand the definition of murder.

Obama's relection - and hillary's election depended on the idea that Bin Lauden's dead, Gm's alive - and terrorism is on the run.

Since that was the theme, they had an incentive to make sure Benghazi - like Ft. Hood, and tennessee weren't terror attacks. And so bengahzi was a "mob demonstration", ft. hood was "workplace violence" etc.

The fact that it was terrorism was obvious to anyone - but useful apes such as yourself ether went around paroting talking points.

How many times have you heard the presidential spokes idiot say "we refuse to accept...."

Reality.

If the president could have saved thier lives and did not that would constitute murder.

Obama's relection - and hillary's election depended on the idea that Bin Lauden's dead, Gm's alive - and terrorism is on the run.

That is an opinion that you have not provided any validation for.

Since that was the theme, they had an incentive to make sure Benghazi - like Ft. Hood, and tennessee weren't terror attacks. And so bengahzi was a "mob demonstration", ft. hood was "workplace violence" etc.

Mob demonstration or terrorist plot you have yet to show why the articulate guy with the big ears would allow his ambassador to be killed/murdered.

The fact that it was terrorism was obvious to anyone

Since the usa government has yet to define terrorism perhaps you might take this opportunity to give us your definition.

- but useful apes such as yourself

Your mother seems to have a particular fondness for useful apes. She thinks you might also.

Why is this even an issue? Last I checked, the Republican/Tea Party had their best shot at attacking Mrs. Clinton in an 11 hour 'chat' and....

...FAILED.....to show any sort of wrong doing. In fact, when journalists looked the information over they found the Republican Party had manufactured evidence to use against Mrs. Clinton. Where are all the congressional hearings on that manufactured evidence?

That's because Republicans do not hold other Republicans to any level of real accountability and responsibility with power. If they were to hold themselves to the same level of accountability and responsibility with power as they slam the President and Democrats on an hourly basis; We'd have better government practically overnight!

As far as I'm concern, this is a dead issue. Conservatives and right wing nuts bring it up because they have.....NOTHING....to attack the President, Mrs. Clinton, or Democrats about. They obviously can not see any problems with Donald Trump (the Nazi) or Sen. Ted Cruz (the traitor). They seem to have no trouble that their Republican controlled Congress has failed to accomplish many tasks; but continue to bitch about it. An then we have Republican Governors showing us how to use power irresponsibility. From Gov. Abbot on 'Mental Health' and 'Jade Helm 15' to Gov. Synder on a water crisis that was created due to cutting services. It seems to be a Republican one has to have the following traits: Immoral, corrupted, ignorant, hateful, and above all....useless.

media matters as a source of whats true?? can it get any better than that?

quote:

Media Matters is a left-wing political operation created to censor conservative media through blacklisting and intimidation of advertisers.

Their model is to create and distribute untrue statements about conservative media, and then use threats of boycotts and business interference to demand that advertisers repudiate programs they target.

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/pages/static/media_matters_facts

MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA (MMFA)

quote:

•A creation of Democratic Party funders and operatives...
•Dictates the content of many mainstream media reports
•Smears conservatives as liars and racists
•Contends that conservatives dominate the mainstream media
•Is funded and supported by the billionaire philanthropist George Soros
•Has regular contact and strategy sessions with political operatives inside the Obama White House
•Has collaborated with Attorney General Eric Holder's office in an effort to discredit and suppress news stories about scandals plaguing the Justice Department

Moreover, Media Matters is a constituent member of the Shadow Party, which is a network of non-profit activist groups organized by George Soros and others to mobilize resources -- money, get-out-the-vote drives, campaign advertising, and policy initatives -- to advance Democratic Party agendas.

In February 2012 Media Matters was the subject of a damning exposé by Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller, which revealed the extent to which the organization had become successful in dictating the content of left-liberal media reports. As documented by the Caller, newspapers like the Washington Post, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times all took their editorial cues from Media Matters’ talking points.

Left-wing bloggers were likewise eager to serve as mouthpieces for Media Matters. "The entire progressive blogosphere picked up our stuff," said a source for the organization, "from Daily Kos to Salon." [this is wonderful, because recently some whacko comrade said the exact opposite of this!]

Modus Operandi: Characterize Conservatives as Liars and Racists

Media Matters has cultivated a well-earned reputation for portraying honest differences of opinion by conservatives as lies, smears, and even evidence of “racism.” According to Republican pollster Frank Luntz, “They are vicious. They only understand one thing: attack, attack, attack.” David Folkenflik, media reporter for National Public Radio, said: “They’re looking at every dangling participle, every dependent clause, every semicolon, every quotation to see if there’s some way it unfairly frames a cause, a party, a candidate that they may have some feelings for.”

When Brock applied for tax-exempt status for Media Matters, he told the IRS, in writing, precisely whom the targets of his organization would be:

“Media Matters for America (MMA) believes that news reporting and analysis by the American media, with its eye on profit margin and preservation of the status quo, has become biased. It is common for news and commentary by the press to present viewpoints that tend to overly promote corporate interests, the rights of the wealthy, and a conservative, Christian-influenced ideology.”

Early Targets of Media Matters

From its earliest days, Media Matters aggressively targeted individuals and groups that did not share its left-wing political orientation. For instance, in 2004 the organization tried to persuade chain book retailers to ban sales of Unfit for Command—a book critical of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. Toward that end, Media Matters launched a month-long assault against Unfit for Command and the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the group responsible for the book. The Media Matters website featured a host of denunciatory articles that attempted to discredit the Swift Boaters as Republican shills and liars.

Media Matters spent the months leading up to the 2004 presidential campaign dismissing conservative criticisms of Kerry as nothing more than “distortions.” To take one example, Kerry's critics disproved his claims that he had spent Christmas of 1968 “sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia.” Rather than making a concession to this reality—which was generally conceded—Media Matters portrayed all attacks on Kerry's record as “unfounded, contradictory, and discredited.”

In June 2005 Media Matters again excoriated Limbaugh, this time for his opinion on the so-called Downing Street memo, which accused the Bush administration of manipulating evidence and otherwise fudging facts in order to promulgate its policies. “Limbaugh baselessly suggested Downing Street memo 'may be a fake,'” read a Media Matters headline. Yet, as Media Matters was forced to acknowledge in the compass of its attack, Limbaugh's remarks, far from being “baseless,” were actually derived from a report that had appeared in the Associated Press.

In 2007 Media Matters falsely claimed that Limbaugh had characterized anti-war Iraq veterans as “phony soldiers.”

From its inception, Media Matters was careful to obscure the financial ties it had to the controversial billionaire financier/philanthropist George Soros. But in March 2003, the Cybercast News Service (CNS) detailed the copious links between Media Matters and several Soros “affiliates”—among them the Center for American Progress, MoveOn.org, and Peter Lewis. Confronted with this story, a spokesman for Media Matters explained that his organization “has never received funding directly from George Soros” (emphasis added), a transparent evasion.

A February 2012 Daily Caller exposé revealed that Media Matters had “regular contact with political operatives” inside the Obama White House, in part through its weekly strategy calls with members of the administration.

Collaborating with NOW, Against Rush Limbaugh

In early May 2012, Media Matters and the National Organization for Women held a secret, narrowly focused strategy session to brainstorm ways of getting the conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh off the air.

In March 2011, Politico.com reported that Media Matters had “all but abandoned its monitoring of newspapers and other television networks,” preparing instead to wage “what its founder, David Brock, described ... as an all-out campaign of 'guerrilla warfare and sabotage' aimed at the Fox News Channel [FNC] ... and a handful of conservative websites, which its leaders view as political organizations and the 'nerve center' of the conservative movement.”

that might be a good stopping point...

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/printgroupProfile.asp?grpid=7150

yeah, they look like a place I want to trust for the truth of the matter...

and you have the gall to call use the term "faux news" in reference to fox? that's laughable.

speaking of fox, this is really good (can it get any better actually?):

"Media Matters memo called for hiring private investigators ‘to look into the personal lives’ of Fox employees"

quote:

A little after 1 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2009, Karl Frisch emailed a memo to his bosses, Media Matters for America founder David Brock and president Eric Burns. In the first few lines, Frisch explained why Media Matters should launch a “Fox Fund” whose mission would be to attack the Fox News Channel.

“Simply put,” Frisch wrote, “the progressive movement is in need of an enemy. George W. Bush is gone. We really don’t have John McCain to kick around any more. Filling the lack of leadership on the right, Fox News has emerged as the central enemy and antagonist of the Obama administration, our Congressional majorities and the progressive movement as a whole.”

“We must take Fox News head-on in a well funded, presidential-style campaign to discredit and embarrass the network, making it illegitimate in the eyes of news consumers.”

What Frisch proceeded to suggest, however, went well beyond what legitimate presidential campaigns attempt. “We should hire private investigators to look into the personal lives of Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors, senior network and corporate staff,” he wrote.

After that, Frisch argued, should come the legal assault: “We should look into contracting with a major law firm to study any available legal actions that can be taken against Fox News, from a class action law suit to defamation claims for those wronged by the network. I imagine this would be difficult but the right law firm is bound to find some legal ground for us to take action against the network.”

The memo goes on to suggest new and unusual ways to harass Fox News: “detailed opposition research” on the network’s staff and executives, attacks against Fox News employees on Facebook and other social media, mailing anti-Fox News literature to their homes and placing “yard signs and outdoor advertising in their neighborhoods.”

At one point, Frisch suggests putting “a mole inside of” the network.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/02/13/media-matters-memo-called-for-hiring-private-investigators-to-look-into-the-personal-lives-of-fox-employees/

stalwart examples of journalistic integrity that lot!
