Don't you think you could be a little more honest? Tell us all right from the start why these people are bad...in your opinion(because we know you think they are)...and then ask people why they would support them.

HOnest?
He didnt say anything about them being "BAD"
you making ad hominems again?

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 9:51:28 AM)

It's time to vote. I want to see who you support and why.

He has made his feelings about conservatives...Republicans...right-leaning moderates...right-wingers...clear in the past. Since I'd be willing to bet this is an exercise in him getting people to sound off about their choices of candidate from the right and then...rather than engage in respectful discourse about those choices...denigrate them, I'm suggesting he be honest about his feelings about the candidates up front.

By the way, as hominem thinking is not always fallacious. In this instance...given cloud's attacks on those from the right, I'd say it is especially not.

I'm not supporting any of them yet. There's good and bad in all of them. I'd like to see a candidate more closely aligned towards my own beliefs but I haven't seen that one yet so it will come down to which one can I go with the easiest.

you need to take your own advice.
you are supposing and assuming.
Your expectations are only important to you.

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 10:59:12 AM)

Will the turnout be this low in IOWA?

When you ask Republicans who they support they clam up. Why is that?

Tkman117 -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 11:31:37 AM)

Because they probably realize there is no good choice [:D] In all honesty though, I am curious to know how many registered republicans would vote for each candidate.

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 12:08:31 PM)

Ted Cruz is leading or neck-in-neck with "other" (which counts as an abstention.) I've never seen such thunderous support and enthusiasm for a candidate and from the electorate.

FYI: Iowa is 60% Evangelical Christians.

Just so you know, I'm not a registered Republican, and definitely not a republican. So, don't look for my choice and reasoning. I don't have a say in the primaries.

And, I'll state it again, regardless of which candidate it turns out to be, I'm only going to vote "For" the candidate that best aligns with my beliefs. I'm done voting "Against" someone. Thus, I will wait for the full slate of candidates to be set before I spend the time necessary to get to know their beliefs. The field should be set by June, so that gives me 4-5 months to investigate. Should be plenty of time.

Why don't you just say you support instead of being a whiny-assed victim?

Who do you like?

I don't like any of them but I think Christie has the best plan.
There, I said it. Isn't it easy?

When did the GOP go from being a bunch of actual MEN and WOMEN to a bunch of whiny assed, professional victim, PUSSIES?

Do you think any of them align with you now? I know you are a conservative (and this isnt any kind of insult)
Is there anyone you would like to see jump in? do you feel you have a candidate that speaks to your beliefs?

Im asking you because altho I disagree with you on a great deal, you have credibility with me.
Im not asking you to name names either or going to take the piss, im genuinely interested

Lucylastic -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 1:32:56 PM)

Have to admit... If I had a republican vote...I would vote Trump. But its not cos I like him. Cruz is far more dangerous to the people of the USA than Bush was.

Cinnamongirl67 -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 1:50:21 PM)

I'm voting trump, unless I change my mind between now and then. I am a woman, ya know.
I've always been a democrat too.
I like Orange faced men with big balls and flap blond hair, who hit the table a lot when they speak.

mnottertail -> RE: Republicans !!! - Who are you voting for? (2/1/2016 1:55:56 PM)

The caucus vote record before today in Iowa:
Dems: 244K
Reps: 122K

We will see if it is more or less.

A very small percentage of eligible voters.

Since when did you become a Republican?

You should really learn what a professional victim is. Here's several good articles about it:

http://madamenoire.com/586251/9-signs-youre-a-professional-victim/

http://arachnoid.com/psychology/victimhood.php

http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/blog/broadway_17th/2013/12/strategies-dont-let-professional.html

As for professional victims, see:

Tawana Brawley (represented by that pillar, Al Sharpton)

Jesse Jackson

Rachel Donezal

Vester Flanagan

Bill Clinton

As for choosing, as I said earlier and as Des said, I haven't made a choice yet.

If my choices were Cruz and Trump, I have to admit that as much as I LOATHE the arrogant bastard, I would vote Trump simply for this reason. I really do believe Cruz is crazy dangerous, where Trump is just stupid dangerous. Crazy scares me more than stupid.

All of them align with me in some way shape or fashion, even Bernie. Rand Paul probably aligns the best out of the current GOP candidates, though.

I haven't paid that much attention to them. I've only watched snippets of the first debate to see how Rand, Fiorina, and Kasich did.

I haven't spent much time looking for third party candidates yet, either. It's just too early. I'll do my due diligence after the slate has been set. I'm not registered R or D, so I won't participate in their primaries (I won't register for one just to vote in the primaries, either; it's disingenuous as I'm not a R or D), which is another reason I haven't paid much attention to the horse and pony show.

I can't see it happening, but if Shrillary aligns best with my beliefs, I'd even vote for her.

And, if asked, I promise to honestly divulge my vote and my reasoning behind it after the election.

Oh, and thank you for the compliments.
