quote:
ORIGINAL: CodeOfSilence The UN work group on human rights has announced its judgement after 16 months of deliberation, argumentation and counter argumentation from all three parties invovled (UK, Sweden and mr Assange) and has declared in it that his incarceration is arbitrary, that there is no grounds for it and as such he must be allowed his basic human rights including the freedom of movement and be given compensation. The UK FM has announced that "This doesn't change anything" despite his side having actively participated in and acknowledged the the proceedings. If the UN judgement is ignored, which I doubt that it will be, it could lead to a cascading chain of events in which the UK and even the humanitarian starchild Sweden weakens the UN institutions themselves and undermines the respective nations own ability to criticize others for the same type of abuses. The two miserable women that accused Assange have both withdrawn their accusations and have hinted on pressure as a reason while blaming each other. Yet the chief prosecutor that is heading this case has not accepted the withdrawal of the womens statements as ground for aborting the case. It is clear that without the two main witnesses willingness to partake in any future proceedings in Sweden that the only motivation for this prosecution is an extradition to the United States showing the servile nature of supposedly sovereign nations. What are your views? Personally I think that the two women should be jailed, Europe should get their shit together and end their cleint state relationship with the United States and Assange should go get some sun. http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/feb/05/julian-assange-sweet-victory-soured-by-british-and-swedish-rejection https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1zAKZhCOlg 16 months deliberation?! What exactly demanded such a protracted discussion? We all know though that you fuck with the people running this world then you're gonna have a problem. And, it's nothing to do with 'the UK', that's just bollocks from the few Americans who simply can't accept that their own country has ran the world for a long time and sometimes it ain't pretty. They learnt some bollocks in school about the inherent generosity of the United States and the sly, underhand dealings of England. Even though we'd struggle to run a bath these days let alone the world, the American history lesson tells them that it must be someone else pulling the strings. 'Fraid not, the United States has ran the show for a long while back. All bad? definitely not. But, all benevolent? definitely not. Anyway, I would love to know how much these people in the UN have been paid in a 16 month period in arriving at their answer because I could have told them the same answer within 5 seconds of being asked the question. Another sad indictment of how politics is about taking people to the cleaners these days.
