"Oh Mary! I love you! I love you! May I kiss you, my darling?"

::Mary glances down at her watch:: "Um, I'm running late. Maybe later?"

Enter Jasper, already growling low and slow, a primal sound coming from deep within his being.. his essence. He smells her before he sees her and begins to stalk the scent unable to resist the pheromones she unwittingly exudes.

In a pouncing, pulsing sweep he is on her, taking her with obvious and ardent desire, forcing his way past her guard and seizing her lips like a throat intent on consuming and satiating himself on her.. feeding on her, stealing her breath and life from her, she is picked up in dazed state and forever captive to the power of taken.

::up steps John, pointing an accusing finger at Jasper:: "Varlet! Rogue! Knave! How dare you touch the fair maid Mary in such a fashion! I demand satisfaction!"

Jasper chuckles. "I am already satisfied, take her." Jasper roughly shoves Mary towards John and turns to walk away. As she stumbles, John catches her.

"Mary! Mary! My Love! My Heart! Are you alright, my darling!?"

Mary blinks still dazed and notices Jasper has turned away. "Wait."

Jasper, the whisper of a smile plays on his lips stops but does not turn around. He simply holds out his hand and waits for her to come to him.

Mary looks from John to Jasper and back again. The choice is before her.. but there is power in taken and it's almost palpable at times.

Consent.. cool story.. needs more dragons.

Jasper then mounts his dragon and Mary unable to control herself, jumps on behind him and they fly off into the clouds.
John puts his hands on his hips and spits! " that bitch left me to do the dishes again!"

Shouldn't this be in Creative Writings??

Technically I think your right. But the post was here and I had fun with it.
The forums have seemed to not have set rules lately so ...
I'm just going with it. Gave me a giggle.

No, it shouldn't.

It's a post regarding consent/non-consent in General BDSM discussion.. the proper place for such a post.

Thank you for thinking it's creative though. You'll probably think that the majority of my stuff should be in that forum.. but, it shouldn't.

That's good. I'm glad you giggled. I'm an entertainer so when I teach the things I, myself, have learned or want to share or such, I express it in writing.

Some folks will giggle and be entertained.. I do that when I write it as well.. but, some folks will get a different reaction.. and that's okay as well.

Take what works.. and if it's a giggle.. well, I like giggles myself and would be happy to get some at any time!

Next time I am in contact with a dragon, I'll ask. Personally, I don't have a lot of access to virgins so I don't even have anecdotal evidence!

Actually, I disagree with this particular post.
As entertaining as it was.... it is a story and had no question to create a discussion.
Ergo, it belongs in Creative Writings.

ETA: I liked it... I just don't think it belongs here.

I haven't been around as often over the last two years, so newbies won't be aware of my writing style. I, generally, only start threads on actual topics of BDSM. They tend to be fattening and full of flavor. Join in for dinner or not, though.. I am not sending out personal invites nor barring anyone from the door. Think of it like a soup kitchen run by a highly trained French Chef.

When I was in culinary school.. basically, the thing I learned the most, is that the French eat flavored butter and I learned how to flavor it which already fits my writing style perfectly well.

Example: http://www.collarchat.com/m_3732188/mpage_1/key_magic%252Ccunt/tm.htm#3732188

That's one is about power but it's not created.. it's presented with a BitaStyle.. as is most of my stuff. I'm fairly prolific and feeling back to my old self so fair warning... this is how I write.. do feel free to hide it if it bothers you.. but you're going to be missing out. I'm humorous and fun to read, impart a gem or two on occasion and I'm very good natured as a general rule not really caring if you are barefoot, in Pradas or socks. As another general rule, I don't interact with nasty and that, too, applies to those barefoot, in Pradas or socks.

I'm too good a writer, too savvy a poster, my EQ is much too high and I know exactly what I'm doing almost all the time.. because I planned it that way. We have loads of cookies here and I'm one of the smart ones. ;)

You should trust me. No really! Don't let the screen name fool you.. it's only 'mostly' accurate. Sometimes I'm NoTrubleAtAll! Sometimes, of course, I'm a LotaTruble.. ::giggles::

See! I told you I giggle!

I do desire my intended audience to have clarity however, so I will re-ask the question.

Does Mary have the choice.. or has she been compelled by the power of taken? Perhaps it's something else? What did Mary do and why?

That's the question I leave up to the reader to ponder and decide and discuss if they are of the mind.. or, hey, if all I write does nothing but make you smile or frown, that's okay, too. As a writer I aim for reaction. If my stuff makes you yawn.. well, it's not likely to improve so it may be best to hide me after all. I won't know!

Well, thank you. We simply disagree. As the things I post are generally along these lines and have never been moved in the ten years I've been posting, I'm going with my experience and tradition and will continue to post where I think is most appropriate and the mods can move me when I've made an error in judgment in this regard.

Fair enough?

There are very few mods running the ship, so I don't hold much hope that it'll get moved.

As per your post#11, you do finally pose a question. But it wasn't there in your OP.
I do desire my intended audience to have clarity however, so I will re-ask the question.

Does Mary have the choice.. or has she been compelled by the power of taken? Perhaps it's something else? What did Mary do and why?

You say you are re-asking the question when in fact the question wasn't there in the first place.
You aren't re-asking the question, you are posing the question after the fact, and much later.
And not only that, asking a question to a situation that has not yet been presented!

And.... seeing as it a question based on nothing but pure fantasy fiction, not even being a representation or depiction of a real life event or dilemma, it still belongs in Creative Writing.
Also, you are posing a question upon an unfinished and unrevealed finish to the story - you are asking the reader to project and guess rather than pose a genuine question to a problem open to discussion.
It's akin to discussing the writings of Shakespeare or Wordsworth instead of an actual event.
Ergo: It belongs in Creative Writings.

Simply because, if I wanted creative stories - that's where I'd go and look.
Same for politics or religion - that's where I'd go look.

Just as I don't expect someone's intro to be in Train Wreck.
Otherwise, why bother with different topics???
Why not have a single board where everything goes?
Because it's confusing and would be a mess - that's why we have different sections.
They are there and created for a reason - to make navigation easier for people to engage.

Freedomdwarf what is wrong with you? Her signature says menopausal plus sadist.
Do you have any idea how lethal a combo that is?
That alone is a dragon recipe. I fear for your life.

Of course and when I want things more powerful than I, myself, am capable of writing, I, too, often quote. Well done!

::looks around thinking this is the Internet and wondering what there is to fear:: You are.. brave? I guess? Dunno.. doesn't seem that hard to a Devil's Advocate.. about the same as being a Fair Weather Friend I should think.. only deciding when faced with an option and not really, truly, believing in the cause?

Dude.. come on, now. I'm just shy of 5'3" and weigh 135 pounds. I really can't do that much damage and I'm not at all dangerous. We Earthlings are Mostly Harmless.. didn't you read the guide?

My response regarding consent will differ depending on whether this is a first encounter or a triangular relationship where Mary is struggling to decide what type dynamic she is looking for.

I do not see where she initially consented, which is problematic for me.

While many women fantasize about the 'power of taken', if this happened in reality, they would consider it rape.

I find retroactive consent to be a troubling concept, fraught with legal and ethical dangers
.
If she has consented to the scenario before the story starts, and finds out she likes it (oh yeahsssssss!) then it would seem her main concern should be how to dump John.

(Maybe a dragon could eat him??)

The power of taken is compelling but damn.. late AND didn't do the dishes?

That's why I'm an advocate of buggy whips .. easy to wield AND you can play tic-tac-toe with them but.. that's another thread. ;)
