How does it suggest that? Asswipe is asswipe. There are no necessary and sufficient conditions of its definition to cause a nutsucker to shit his pants in that way.

Perhaps. But the animas in the word "bullshit" suggest more that is is opposition to your personal beliefs, rather than your course of study that sparked your comment.

is that like the animus in the word murderer? baby killer?

In the 60s women were dying in back alley abortion mills.

In the last year of illegal abortions, 39 women died. In 2014, 24 women died of legal abortions.

Lets put the hyperbole in perspective, shall we?

15,700 died from the flu
32,000 died from auto accidents.

54 people died from bee stings
26 people died from lightning.

One million babies died to abortion, this year, roughly equal to all american casualties in all wars, combined.

86 percent of abortions are done for convenience, according to a 2004 Guttmacher study.
Rape and incest were less than 1/2 of 1%.

So, you can cerainly make the argument that women should be able to abort babies for their convenience. But lets quit with the false "thousands of women dying to illegal back alley abortion mills" .

Interesting the way you twist people's comments Phydeaux.

Firstly, Lucy said in the 60's that you conveniently omitted.
Secondly, she didn't say 'thousands' that you added.

Put those together and it spins a completely different slant on the comment.
This is why many take your posts with a shedload of salt.

It's got too many letters, Lucy.
There's an 'i' and an 'm' that are extraneous.

The number was 5000 that year. But since you were still a little felcher in those days, you wouldn't know that. Now you are a big felcher.

Of course it wasn't. Liberal talking points bandy the 5,000, 15,000, thousands and thousands -but of course they are incorrect.

The guttmacher institute - a pro abortion group states:
quote:

In 1930, abortion was listed as the official cause of death for almost 2,700 women. The death toll had declined to just under 1,700 by 1940, and to just over 300 by 1950s. By 1965, the number of deaths due to illegal abortion had fallen to just under 200

So, once again: your posts are crap and without foundation.

I’m not putting anyone down for the candidate of their choice but I wonder if the results of this poll clearly show the mindset of posters in these forums. On both sides of the political spectrum posters here on the boards seem to choose the more extreme candidates of their parties.

Do you believe that we here are a good example of the average voters in the US or do you think we tend to gravitate to the extremes?

Butch

It's all relative. Trump and Sanders are probably centrists in terms of what political ideology is concerned.
From an American perspective they are not but of course the extremes in either direction in that case are not socially conservative or progressive neoliberalism as it is in other countries but Anarcho capitalism and corporate totalitarianism which aren't even on the map in other nations but exist in the United states the Libertarian Party and strong lobbyist influence respectively.

I mean take for example the fact that in America you can be sued by Monsanto for having plants with their seeds in your field that happened to blow over from the neighbour. It's probably rare to find examples of such extreme corporate control in other countries.
I think you have privatized water reserves too.

In Italy they rejected it in a Referendum with 97% voting no.
That concludes that in Italy 97% of the population wouldn't accept laws or situations that are acceptable to you Americans.
In Ireland massive nation wide, cross-party demonstrations forced the government to reconsider the privatization of water too.

Now I am not gonna thro rocks like the third graders have, just consider what our country is up against no matter which side wins.

I have a dilemma here. And apparently lots of others do also. Who is there to vote for? Almost everybody running for POTUS out there acts like a third grader throwing rocks back and forth at each other on the school playground at recess.

Ok folks, recess is over.

I want somebody that is level headed calm and reasoning.

How about someone that is honest, owes no one any political favors or debts, can be diplomatic, thoughtful, reasonable, firm, and has my best interest at heart; I want an obvious national and world leader.

Anybody got any suggestions? Wasn't what the op meant in the beginning?

American Muslims who adhere to Islamic sharia law while also embracing the American values of democracy, including the separation of church and state, must be "schizophrenic," Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said Tuesday.
"Only if they're schizophrenic. I don’t see how they can do it otherwise, because you have two different philosophies" in conflict with each other, he explained to Breitbart News Daily host Stephen Bannon, who had posed the question to the retired neurosurgeon.
