Actually the UK is a collection of *countries* - England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, united as one *nation*, the UK.

Not Ireland, just Northern Ireland. The South is a republic.

Status: offline 		And there are a few outlying bits that are attached I think...................the Isle of Man ( which has it's own parliament; or did) and the Channel Islands are all a part of Great Britain I believe and G.B is made up otherwise of ENGLAND, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ulster). It is said that if you stand on the top of the highest mountain on the Isle of Man, on a clear day you can see five kingdoms.
