What does the community feel about consensual BDSM slave rights?

I have heard some people claiming once a slave agrees to be a slave, its nada. I dont really agree with this opinion. For all its worth, both the master and the slave has the right to walk away when they feel so - you cannot detain them by any measure of the law.

My personal view is that slaves are granted 3 rights:

1. Right to choose her / his owner.

It is illegal and wrong for a master to pass off a slave to another master without the slave's consent.

2. Right to specify limits.

Just because you tag yourself a slave does not and should not mean you have no limits. What does that term mean anyway, in the broadest sense? Apologies for the gory example, but if a slave is whipped to bleeding / death or trafficked, is it justifiable because (s)he said "no limits"?

[Sidenote: I dont think any human being, especially anyone in the BDSM community, would ever do that to anyone. Just an example to make my point ]

3. Right to end the relationship.

Yes, if a slave feels (s)he is deeply unhappy with the current arrangement, (s)he has the right to pack her bags (if she has one) and leave. In the event the slave is truly possession-less it should morally be the Master's responsibility to ensure she can sustain herself until she is self-sufficient / re-owned.

What do you all feel about this?
Side question - is there any BDSM contract that is actually legally valid (I think no)?

Just like any relationship if either side chooses to end it, it ends. Just because you are in a BDSM relationship doesn't mean it's not just like a normal relationship, it's just different. Sometimes relationships work out, sometimes they don't, sometimes they get married.

Any contracts written in a BDSM relationship wouldn't be legally binding I'm sure because there is no laws consenting to slavery.

For me I always negotiate right up front, I only have a few hard limits and if they agree, then it's a go.

I think it's the submissive's responsibility to make sure she submits to a good Dominant, a lot of submissives (especially newbies) choose not to do that, they are so eager to jump into a D/s dynamic of some kind they don't even take their time and get to know a person before they make the decision to submit to them.

Precisely my feelings. On the point of getting married, oh well thats a whole new thread..

FelineRanger -> RE: Slave rights? (2/19/2016 7:40:21 AM)

Never having owned a slave, I don't yet have an opinion there. But I do know that any form of BDSM contract is not legally enforceable. Further, any BDSM activities are considered assault and/or sexual offenses in the U.S. because the law does not acknowledge that a person can consent to them.

LilJuly76 -> RE: Slave rights? (2/19/2016 11:28:25 AM)

I mention Marriage because some M/s or D/s couples do get married.

FelineRanger: I think the same thing applies in Canada as well.

LadyPact -> RE: Slave rights? (2/19/2016 11:47:08 AM)

Law succeeds BDSM in dang near everything. Marry the slave? Go ahead and tell the judge she owns nothing when you got to divorce court. No matter what cute, little rules you have in fantasy land... Yeah, they don't apply so much.

If a person lives in the US, allow me to state emphatically, I do not care if you are D or s. You have the RIGHT to leave. You have basic, human rights that NOBODY can take away from you.

Say it with me...

Law is bigger than BDSM.

LilJuly76 -> RE: Slave rights? (2/19/2016 11:59:03 AM)

exactly, it doesn't matter what kind of relationship, vanilla, alternative, poly whatever else anyone has the right to leave a relationship and if people try to force people to stay, well than laws will take care of that.

I actually had a newbie slave told me she wasn't allowed to leave her Master. I asked her who told her that. She said her Master told her that. I replied if he told you that he's not a real BDSM Master.

DesFIP -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 9:34:57 AM)

Usually it takes a while before someone brings up causing death.

Look op: would you do that to someone you cared about? If you didn't care about her, why did you get into a relationship with her?

What this boils down to, every single time, is that you shouldn't pick an ass for a partner.

I don't have to worry about him killing me because he isn't a sociopath or psychopath. I don't date people like that, and I sure as hell wouldn't commit to one of them. Why should I?

why would he want to be with someone who didn't love and admire him? Why would he pick as a partner someone who didn't care about him, who didn't want to make him happy?

It took us years to find each other, to slowly work on this relationship until it got to the point where I feel totally safe with him, both physically and emotionally.
So why would he want to flush all that down the drain when he's happy?

He wouldn't because he's not a twisted, stupid monster. It's not something we have to worry about. I didn't worry about it when we met 12 years ago and I don't need to worry about it now.

Lady Pact doesn't have to worry about MrP dismembering her for the same reason I don't have to worry about The Man doing it to me. Because we're pick good people as partners. It isn't a d/s thing. It's about whether or not you are a healthy human being who picks healthy partners.

A "slave" has all the rights of any person as "slave" is just a role they are playing.

I thinks that's true for most western cultures LP.

The only time I've seen different is in Islamic countries where the wishes of the man overrule those of the woman for just about everything, including divorce.

I can break down the demographics of the community and it makes wretched absorbency for my kind, save the being who stand alone in slippers.

I am not the community; i distance myself from it and your wrecked definition/interpretation of it. I am me and happy at that and haven’t had cam sex in ages (6 hours) and I was magnificent. And my very peepers, that never betray me, saw steam shoot from her lusty thigh region, I believe the klut resides there and no map exists. And my man juices blew a gamma ray burst hint of muffin into the atmosphere – best oil up dear readers...factor most wicked

I digress, the quivering wreck, fell to her knees and offered me her soul ( i gobbled that, a mere snack, for a famished being such as myself) and offered me all her worldly belongs – which I quickly put on muffinbay – for cake and hungry hookers – my appetite knows no bounds I can assure you of that

That aside I am reliable informed that bad stereotypes exit
And beings like me,

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 1:49:47 PM)

Can somebody translate this for me into something I might understand??

WickedsDesire -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 2:05:27 PM)

There exists bad stereotypes - that define represent/themselves as the community and they number the many freedomwolf

And we can infer there is something wrong with the "community" or me, it was that simple, and I told it through a narrative of today's occurrences,

But you take issue with that and can back that up with what following statements or were you falling to your knees in bemused low iq wondermont

freedomdwarf1 -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 2:12:21 PM)

I was bemused and confuddled by gobbledegook and claptrap.

Sorry, I only speak English; at a push, American.
I'm not fluent in balderdash or crappola just yet.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 2:41:15 PM)

Some understand my words @freedomdwarf1 granted most are at it & bad stereotypes and decree their existence as real yet offer on the bestest of days utter malarkey..or people like Op who cite that "scene"…or talk for it.

Perhaps you should browse everyone in Scotland who is a wench and has been on this site since January and break down the demographics on your next withering reply
eg Hot lesbians, stolen pictures, those of no reality – bad steretpyes seems a fair assessment, and expand that to England, wherever that is..glad you talk English.

I talk for myself and all like me and have no time for misbegotten stereotypes who number 99% on here….you may rebut my words

perhaps we can thrash this anomaly on this thread,

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 3:02:53 PM)

Perhaps, but of course given that I have no clue what the fuck you are on about I very much doubt it.

SirAndLadyPink -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 3:11:21 PM)

Ok, this may only be our first post, but what?!?! @WickedsDesire we have no idea if you are trolling, on a computer with a broken spelling and grammar checker or literally insane, but we can make neither heads nor tails of your posts or profile. The Doctor may be a mad man with a box, and we have a feeling you are a mad man with a keyboard...

WickedsDesire -> RE: Slave rights? (2/20/2016 3:11:22 PM)

i offer reality and give it

you demand truisms and offer no reality and utter ass spraying mayhem your numbers are the many and you feel you can speak for the scene - you lot sicken me, truly
