LOL.......................I'm sorry but I can't see that wall happening .................for a number of reasons. It's going to cost an arm and a leg..................it will need policing every few metres like the Berlin Wall was......................Mexico doesn't want the wall, so I can't really see them volunteering to pay for a half of it. If my neighbour pulled that stunt and built a wall between our properties, he would very quickly be told where he could shove it, brick by brick................................I would like to see trumps costing on this and then the costing for the next ten years of policing it. Or does he want mexico to bear half the cost of that too ? The guy is so full of shit, he should call his house 'Pooh Corner' . As for going after the families of suspected terrorists......................That is harassment in many countries and illegal in even more unless you have proof that THEY have committed some crime.

The Mexican/U.S. border is almost 2000 miles long. I have no idea how long the Berlin Wall was but it's upkeep and policing was crippling the East Germans and hurting the Russians too. Can you imagine that whole monstrosity multiplied the gods know how many times ?

I didn't say it didn't or doesn't happen greta. I said it was harassment and it was illegal. Trump says he will stand by American law, so I really can't agree to condone these things. The military I was in was stuck out on a limb and we made a lot of the rules up as we went along, or we discarded the rule book when necessary. Trump CANNOT agree with that and still be believable

So I know it happens, and it is used, when necessary, and lives have been saved because of it. But Trump was just being his usual super honest self to openly say, he approves of it. Most people know that is political faux pas. I just like Trump blunt honesty. His challenge is not to break and attempt to be more political correct as pressure mounts. As far as I'm seeing now, people want a political correct President. Unpolitical correct statements piss off alot of people, and is not Presidential quality apparently. Because what we are seeing here, is we are so used to politician just lying and telling us what we want to hear, the flowery stuffs, even if that is not that true position. Trump is like, "This is me! The full thing, raw, take it or leave it!" And the full raw will open him to alot of outrage and criticism. But he had the courage to be himself.

Ancient China built a series of walls with slave labour that killed thousands if not millions of the workers, (sounds like Trump smile). The walls were then joined up, again by slave labour with the same retirement package for them, to make the Great wall as it known today. It didn't work either because, just as a number of the East German Guards were corrupt and bribeable, so will some of the American guards be. Numbers of those from outside the wall bribed their way in through the gates, or else they just walked a bit further and went around the outside.

How can Trump employ illegal immigrants legally ? That doesn't make a lot of sense because he will be breaking the law by employing them in the first place

so they would be legal to work in America ? That happened in Germany with the Turkish immigrants. Germany tried to send them home by giving them free flights. They all went home for a vacation and then flew back to Germany because they already had their visas saying they were there legally. It cost the German government a lot of money to learn that lesson

Or they need to go back to where they come from and try to come back through legal channels again. In Singapore, all work visas has expiry date. So..., they are all properly tracked, their ins and outs of the country. So I mean, free flights are a little excessive. I don't really understand the situation in Germany. You mean Germany give them free work permits and free flights home. That doesn't make sense. I'm referring to giving them an option to stay for another 6 or 12 more months, IF they choose to work to build the wall, if not, they need to go back, and then apply for a job through legal channels, and come back that way.

I have to agree with Greta about the Brit army using torture .....................There are a number of ex-soldiers being charged with it right now. My Brother was in Aden and Cyprus and he has told me of instances. putting a mans feet in the fire or using a small blowtorch on his eyeball really doesn't equate to a similar crime to chewing gum though. Or at least I am too dumb to see the connection.
