ORIGINAL: thompsonx Yet you tell us that you are a millionaire...how did that happen on 1500 a month? I have never claimed to be a millionaire. quote:
Yet you brag about owning a car and traveling to europe and amerika. Oh yes you mentioned that you suck at math.[8|] Yea, I bought my car when the COE was $2. I got it for 24k. Which was a steal. I am never extravagant, I know how to be patient and wait for the right time. I waited for housing prices to collapse, to get my home too. I always get things at the right time. As with every economy, there are always highs and lows. It's not that expensive to travel. When I travel, I always have friends overseas to take care of me, lodgings and driving me around. I always only needed air tickets. Like I got a round trip ticket to LA for only $800bux. That's cheap and I can easily save up for that. Recently there was a story of a man who travelled from Finland to Singapore on just $3000 total expense through pure hitchhiking all the way, navigating so many countries and it took 4 months. End of the day, especially these days, there are many ways to travel and pay very little. And on top of that, sorry to say this but I am a woman. My last Europe trip was my fuck buddy missing me and flying me to him while his on business there. But he was suppose to be back in Singapore but last minute work got in the way and he got sexually frustrated and just frustrated that he could not be back in Singapore. So I guess we get these extra perks too thanks to men willing to get you to him just for sexual company, and his my best sex in the world, so I didn't care about the traveling, I'd prefer him to be here, but I'd grab any opportunity to have sex with him. Yea I didn't pay for it, although I did pay for my own trip to the US, because I just wanted to catch my favourite band over there. quote:
That is not what the link says. The link says you are peddling shit. Except the article is written by Roy Nygen, a failed opposition candidate who hates the CPF system and main mission in life is to incite enough Singaporeans to protest against CPF and get rid of it. Clearly majority of Singaporean disagrees with him and love the CPF, and he barely got any votes. And his bitter. Also, many self-employed people earning hundreds of thousands does not have to contribute to CPF at all, or are allowed to contribute their own selective amount. If he goes solely by contribution for his figures. I wonder how many self-employed are in this category. I am a self-employed, and so are my most of my colleagues. There are like 5000 people in my company alone who makes more than 3k per mth and does not contribute to CPF or contribute pathetic sums because of self-employed status. So I question the accuracy of his calculations. People who don't earn salaries but earn commissions only are considered self-employed. The benefit of that is, we don't have to contribute the 20% of our salary to the CPF. If want to only give 1%, we could, it's 100% our choice when it's self-employed, so if those figures include self-employed contribution, then it's super inaccurate, as most self-employed people go on self-employment status to avoid paying the 20%. quote:
That you would boast 17% millionaires while nearly a third of the people go hungry. It's so impossible to go Hungry in Singapore, even if you have no money, we have buddhist temples serving buffet meals, free food, all day. And if you were poor, you can get food for as cheap at 1.50 too or cheaper or if you live on rice and eggs, when I was earning 1500, I never ate out and lived on rice, egg and vegetables, I ate healthy, and ate well and stretched my money. Like roasted chicken and rice. As with every area, there are the expensive food areas, and cheap food areas. Anyway, all Singaporeans know where all the cheap food is. quote:
So they are not homeless they just prefer to live without homes?[8|] You say the funniest shit. Because old people used to live in large open air Kampongs in their younger days, and are not used to living in one room and one hall enclosed flats. But due to our lack of space, all the Kampongs had to go in place of skyscrapers to cater for enough roof for everybody.
