Ben Carson: I Didn’t Want To Endorse Trump, But He Promised Me A Job

Dr. Ben Carson appeared on video today for Newsmax TV and made more than one … let’s say “startling” admission. Not the kind of thing one usually spills the beans about, I’d say. Here is the first excerpt.

DR. BEN CARSON: I do believe, and certainly in my discussions with Donald Trump, he does love America and he does want to be successful. And, he will surround himself with very good people.

NEWSMAX’S STEVE MALZBERG: And will one of them be Dr. Ben Carson?

Carson: I will be doing things as well, yeah.

Malzberg: In the administration.

Carson: Certainly in an advisory capacity.

Malzberg: That’s been determined? You’ve, when you sat down with him that was discussed?

Carson: Yes.

That’s a pretty definitive statement. Carson is saying for sure that Trump promised him a role in his administration. He is implying that this was in exchange for his endorsing Trump.

But that is not all. Take that above clip with the next one from earlier in the interview, where he says he wanted to endorse someone else but didn’t think anyone else was going to win.

CARSON: I have to look at what is practical and what is going to save this country and the American dream for the next generation. Is there another scenario that I would have preferred? Yes. But that scenario isn’t available.

MALZBERG: With one of the other candidates you mean?

Carson: Yeah.

Got it? Put it all together and this is what Ben Carson is saying about his Trump endorsement: I would rather have endorsed someone else, Donald Trump engages in the politics of personal destruction, but I endorsed him anyway and he promised me a job.

Wow dude. That’s a heck of an endorsement.

Believe it or not, there is more. The Newsmax article can be found here, which has the full video. It’s worth clicking through and watching.

Sure makes you wonder what Chris Christie was promised, doesn’t it?

That you have the sheer gall to complain about PP supporters and then equate tanks to PP is puerile.

This post proves one of two things.
A. You didn't understand that I was not equating tanks to PP but explaining the financing shell game that is being played in both cases.
or
B. You understand that the shell game is being played and misrepresented my post to distract from my actual post.

Your post was distracting from the facts. As usual

Of course there are those people that think the chicago "rally that wasnt" was set up for violenct confrontations. He put out ten times more tickets than space in the arena, lots of protesters had tickets.
The chicago police deny giving donald advice not to appear and to shut it down.

Such a statement assumes one will spend the mega bucks to rent such a large building, the security folks, the technicians, the expense of flying to Chicago and printing tickets and then handing them out and then missing the opportunity to speak directly to thousands of people and perhaps earn their support just so one might entice the other side radicals to miss-behave and get some publicity at the expense, mind you, of people getting hurt.

I've not seen any of your references actually quoting Dr. Carson as saying "I endorsed Trump because he offered me a job".

It's not there.

Some people pointed out that endorsing trump for a job violated this federal law.

"It's obvious" that since Dr. Carson never endorsed Trump for a job then "some people" are misinformed.

Perhaps I will even predict a general election landslide win for Trump and Carson.

You did that for mittins too.

It is that good. Hello black American, who do you want to vote for, the wife of Mr "I did not have sex with that woman" or that white rich guy with gold all over his plane

Would that be the rich white guy with three bankruptsies and numerous failed businesses?

and the black doctor guy who is smarter than Bill Clinton

This would be your ignorant unsubstantiated peurile opinion.

and blacker and you know damn well that matters, black lives matter.

Glad to see you giving lip service to that. If you could dance you could take that act on the road .

but the interview recording is more damning, I mean if you are going to figure out the emails and violations of the law, there is good evidence on carson and trump.

There's nothing in the recording that is damming. Perhaps we might enjoy a damming quote from the recording.

Not even remotely....

(I'll presume however that, when you do your taxes, you add 25% because it feels good).
