I don't support Dems or Reps. They both are authoritarian and dishonest. However, based on what I know about fascism, the Democrats fit that definition better (but both still fit to some extent). Fascism is a combination of corporatism and socialism. Both Dems and Reps have a corporatist element via control from interest groups, but the Dems are more socialist than the GOP which is why I think the definition fits them better. Neither of them are communist BTW despite what many people would say. Socialist, yes. Fascist, possibly. Communist, no. This is just objective thinking here from someone who cares for neither party. I am not actually completely against socialism either since we have been in dire need of regulations ever since the industrial revolution. Anyone who says otherwise has not studied history very well. That being said, regulations can be good or bad like anything else depending on how they are written and enforced. Almost any type of government COULD work if it is implemented ideally. So arguing over a style of government is silly to me. Labels are stupid. I separate government into two categories: an effective government and a non effective government (effective meaning meeting the stated goals fairly and efficiently with little or no corruption). What we need really are intelligent, honest public officials that genuinely care for their electorate, but good luck with that (at least in this system). One of the major flaws of government in general is that it does not attract the right type of people that can do a good job. Unfortunately, it usually attracts sociopaths. I am not an anarchist either though because what we have is way better than what it was like in feudal Europe (which was very close to anarchy outside of the major cities). All this is common sense really. Even a dictatorship could be eutopia if the dictator is incredibly intelligent and effective as a person and works their hardest to make the world better. That doesn't mean we need a dictatorship though, that means we need a system of government that effectively finds honest, caring, intelligent people to run the country. I am actually working on creating a form of government based on that principle and also upon being as clearly understandable and non-corruptible as possible. All the rest of it will be determined taking a true cost-benefit analysis using utilitarian principles and intra-community debates.
