Well, among all the mudslinging, there is a point here.
The guy is complaining about LOSING the White Male privilege. We have lost alot. Blacks or Women who do not perform as well as a White male might get the job due to affirmative action. If you are a Woman and want to be bricklayer they will sponsor you into the union if they think you can cut it physically. I know one who played football and all kinds of shit and was the biggest (actually tall and large but not fat) tomboy in town. She couldn't cut it. It is a very demanding job physically, plus you have to go to school and all that but once sponsored in you get that, even get paid for going.
But I could never get in unless sponsored. Nobody could do that. However a Woman or minority will get sponsored by a company if they got a clue that a person could actually do it because they get government contracts and therefore are supposed to be an EOE.
Friend of mine was 48th in a field of about 4,800 in the fireman's test. No job for him because he is White. If a Woman scored anywhere near him she would have had the job RIGHT NOW. And you all know it. (the test to be a fireman is about like the marines)
I am not too fond of the OP bringing this up time after time, but the point is it is not bullshit. White male privilege is damnear gone. And it is not just affirmative action that did it, there ARE other qualified people. It's just that many of them already have jobs.
I have no problem with people who want equal rights, it is when they want special treatment it becomes wrong. When a Woman can get into a trade union (I do not mean a labor union, there is a difference) JUST BECAUSE they need to hire more Women, that is wrong. Same with Blacks and whoever else to whom affirmative action may apply.
And one of the things I have noticed in this country is that most of the people who really value our rights are White Men. Not White males, Men. there is a difference. We will not shoot you over a parking space, but I tell you one of these days on the freeway I might just... (but that is a public service)
All groups claiming to "want equal rights" are looking for special rights. It is a human trait. If you are Black and score say 900, you still want into that college over a White who scored 1100. If you are a Woman you want the same thing. If you are anything female or OTW (Other Than White) you want special treatment because you fell you have been slighted by society.
Well let me tell you something, the bums are White again. (Dr. Pierce) They are sticking it to use really bad. We can't use words, we can't defend ourself, we can't have our own organizations lest we be listed as terrorists. Like the militia n shit, just what did they do ? NOTHING. No act of violence has been advocated by any unorganized militia.
And in a battered Women's shelter they tell them to take alot of aspirin because you bruise easier and that provides better evidence. And if she hits you and calls the law you have to leave. You pay her bills and be homeless. I HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN. And it is wrong. (BTW iit has to be real aspirin, not ibuprofen or whatever)
I know too much to be fooled by this fucking bullshit. The OP is a whiner, and incessant, but not totally wrong. Tell me this, if a guy is driving down the street and gets stopped by the cops, is he more or less likely to get his car searched ? More.
Know why ? White Men are the most disobedient people on this planet, at least here. Women are easy to control if you are a government, especially if you favor them. Under certain conditions of course. Drug testing for example. I have NEVER been drug tested. And never will either. But Women have more tendency to obey, and that is why they are preferred for certain positions. And now, having lacked a power base like the good old boys, their newfound power is intoxicating to some.
Well let them have it. Just remember, White Men made it possible for you and what we gave you, we can take away.
