That's what our two-party system, along with the rise of infotainment, has done: everything invariably becomes a polarizing partisan issue. If people would just realize both major parties are essentially the same we'd be much better off. Both major parties support endless wars (we have always been at war with Eurasia), a reduction in citizen's rights (NSA spying, Crypto Wars II: The Shitty Sequel), increased government spending, etc. The worst/best part is the people so blinded by their 'side' being 'better' that they'll argue about which shitty party did a shitty thing first and how that excuses their party from doing a shitty thing.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Rally Question (3/21/2016 9:00:25 PM)

So very true.

Trump does plenty wrong.
I do not, as stated many times like him.
The thread is about his rally, not about beating somone to death.
Tommpson derailed that thread when he dug it up.

I am also not a birther, concerning either Obama or Cruz. Nor have I said that Obama is Kenyan.

That shit is nutsucker shit when they are in violation. It doesnt count for Benghazi benghazi benghazi, emails, and any host of other issues. Say gun control, which aint happening. Voter fraud, welfare lazies.

It is clear that people are exercising a first amendment right, and nutsuckers are violently beating them, I can watch a video just like anyone else.

But it is not clear that 'blocking' a road is a violation, pedestrians have the right-of-way.

Pedestrians have the right of way, which means other traffic must yield to them. That doesn't change the fact that obstructing traffic is illegal.
You are allowed to use a road or right of way - you're not allowed to prevent others from using it.

You may not be unable to discern a difference. That doesn't mean there isn't one.

Lucylastic -> RE: Rally Question (3/21/2016 11:04:49 PM)

Gonzalez was charged with a Class 3 misdemeanor for blocking the highway and refusing to disperse. Only three were arrested.

Here is one possible solution for those held up by the protest, even if they weren't going to the rally. Just sue those that stopped traffic into basic oblivian. I don't necessarily agree or disagree, but I think it might work.

I am aware of the law. It doesnt change the fact that obstruction may be a less than perfectly minced phrase in the law, for either side.

Not exactly a legal breeze to prove.

Of course I do, but that doesn't mean I can't show them up for the hypocrites they are.

Hyocrite thy name is bamad:

First you said this

If the Trump people let people determined to cause trouble into their rallies they would be guilty of neglegence by knowingly allowing a potentially violent situation to exist.

Then you said this

So anyone who doesn't agree with you is dangerous and don't desreve the same rights as the people you agree with.

Doesn't it hurt your mouth to talk out of both sides at the same time?

That might work, however I doubt you would get much of a reward for a temporary delay

How well did it work with civil rights marchers and protesters?

It seems that countries that march towards their future in step often end up stepping on the rights of others. Descent may slow the decision making of a people but I think it usually results in a better choice.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Rally Question (3/22/2016 12:15:06 PM)

What I find funny is that they seem to think they are in some way harming or damaging Trump by doing this shit. The more trouble they cause the more his followers will be motivated.
