And you are a classic example of a woman who'll use "the best interests of the child" as a smokescreen for your own desire for filthy lucre. Let's face it, you - and mothers just like you - don't give a tinker's damn about the best interest of the child. You're interested in yourselves and what you can gain out of the divorce, alimony and child support process. The only reason for the opposition of NOW and women like yourself is that you're unashamed gold-diggers who want to use children as a pawn to try and enrich yourselves. The irony of course is that such women go on to be terrible mothers who dump the children with a boarding school, a nanny or the television and rely upon them to do all the messy child-rearing. If there's any group who is obsessed with money, it's you and mothers just like you - and that's why you oppose this bill. You don't give a damn about children, you're just money-grubbing whores simply not fit to be mothers. And under this bill, you'd have to actually be a fit mother to gain custody - as opposed to presuming custody just because you have a vagina. I feel sorry for you, you dollar-worshiping scumbag. I pray no child has had to suffer the cold insincerity of your embrace.

I must look up this equal rights custody bill one of these days. But I will take it as inferred by the title Custody should be shared 50/50....there are obviously a great many variables. The child should be with the least fractured of the two...and argument can be made it would be in the child best interest to be with neither. What am I now 46. I came from a broken home. Mumsie got custody Dad, wherever he is now, got custody of us when mum was ill and visited the bin of many loons; depression, schizophrenia. At the beginning of the day, let alone end of the day, My father should never "got" custody for one iota..I thought I throw in a few variable in quick format. And I turned out just fine, did I not, dear readers bar occasional bouts of raving madness I don't have kids, 3 cats, and for sure most women I have dated come with kids and they are the primary custodian - which defies maths logic good v evil etc
