Out of the blue, randomly, it wouldn't be so much elicit either a 'turn on' or a 'turn off', but rather a "what the fuck are you thinking?" kinda reaction.

I didn't mean to imply that someone that likes it is a lowly worm or loser. I'm specifically referring to the people that refer to themselves that way.

Yep, that's roughly my take on it. Though, a (nominally vanilla) GF did that once to me and I thought 'Wow!'.
