Despite the fact that he ended a war started by another president that costed, what? Trillions? He brought you out of a recession that began before he came into office. He's hardly rocked the boat and even caved to many republican demands. He also ensured that everyone, no matter their circumstance, would be able to get access to proper healthcare (which was originally based off of Mitt Romney's state healthcare plan no less). Not to mention they re-elected him. So obviously he was doing something right that the majority of people recognized. Take your partisan blinders off and get some perspective, he wasn't great but he wasn't horrible, the one who came before him will always been seen as a screw up by comparison.

How about some realizm from a real American. He may have ended a war that for all intents and purposes was already won, but how many more did he start? How many American allies did he push out of power only to be replaced by the Muslim brotherhood? Oh, and let's not forget that he is responsible for the rise of ISIS.

" how many more [wars] did he start?" Good question. Off the top of my head I can't think of any. So that makes the answer to your question: "Zero".

"How many American allies did he push out of power only to be replaced by the Muslim brotherhood?" Another good question. Again the answer is a resounding zero. You might be thinking of Mubarak in Egypt, but the Egyptian people threw him out more or less on their own. It's worth noting that the US supported Mubarak until the very last hours ie for as long as they possibly could. I suppose it's possible you are thinking of the murderous madman Ghaddafi in Libya but he wasn't a US ally and again he was thrown out by the Libyan people with a little help from NATO, not the US and he certainly wasn't "replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood".

"[Obama] is responsible for the rise of ISIS". No he isn't. ISIS's rise has been the result of a complex set of factors, one of which is US policy in the ME (which has been bi-partisan for as long as this writer has known it). Other factors include social deprivation, corruption and tyranny in many of those ME States that are US allies, and others that aren't, a general failure of politics in the ME, Western military invasions and occupations and the barbarous Israeli Occupation of Palestine .... and so on. Attempting to hold Obama personally and solely responsible only proves how ignorant and partisan is the perspective of the person making such a ridiculous accusation.

If this is what you call "realizm" then best you start taking copious amounts of illicit drugs - it can only improve your relationship with reality, which in this respect, appears to be non-existent.

I admit: I have wanted Gitmo "closed" for a long time, but I wanted the little jihadis executed; not set loose amongst us.

Most commentators I have read have described the GOP's approach to Obama's Presidency as one of total non-cooperation and obstruction on any level from Day 1. Here's one example from the NYT in 2010:
"Before the health care fight, before the economic stimulus package, before President Obama even took office, Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader, had a strategy for his party: use his extensive knowledge of Senate procedure to slow things down, take advantage of the difficulties Democrats would have in governing and deny Democrats any Republican support on big legislation.

Mr. McConnell, left, and his House counterpart, Representative John A. Boehner, have urged their members to avoid making deals with the majority.
Republicans embraced it. Democrats denounced it as rank obstructionism. Either way, it has led the two parties, as much as any other factor, to where they are right now. Republicans are monolithically against the health care legislation, leaving the president and his party executing parliamentary back flips to get it passed, conservatives revived, liberals wondering what happened.

In the process, Mr. McConnell, 68, a Kentuckian more at home plotting tactics in the cloakroom than writing legislation in a committee room or exhorting crowds on the campaign trail, has come to embody a kind of oppositional politics that critics say has left voters cynical about Washington, the Senate all but dysfunctional and the Republican Party without a positive agenda or message.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/17/us/politics/17mcconnell.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

It would appear that Master B's connection with the internal realities of US politics is as tenuous as his connection with the external realities that I examined in pst #24 above. I do hope he is on good terms with his local dealer. That might help his vision become clearer than it is currently.

Thank Gawd you're not. Obama is the worst President in the last 80 years.

Not even close and I doubt you have any objective specifics.

Every single post of yours has been garbage honey.

Ok now have we had enough snark? or do you want more?

I have stated facts, you are the one snarky. Maybe you can elect him president of Canada and he can do for Canada what he has done for Anerica. High unemployment, millions of illegals, unsecured boarders, failing economic policies...... On and on and on and on

I swear, you have to be just fuck'n with us, If Romney had done the same as Obama, the right would be singing his praises to the great hilltop of that shining city...ready to lionize the guy.

I do sometimes wonder whether the Republican's objections to effectively getting Bush's third and fourth terms from Obama is down to him being a Democrat or down to him being black.

saw a little blurb last night in which it was stated that gallup found obama is the most divisive president since the history of that particular poll (at least since the 50s).

The first black president? -Of course- he is the "most divisive," that divisiveness coming directly from and greatly encouraged by the Republicans in congress, as well pointed out in several posts here.

That "divisive" aspect has, though, blown to smithereens the notion beat over our heads by Hollywood (and my US history teacher, while we're at it) that the US south holds (or held, before Obama's election) hegemony on racism.

The Tea Party, the "Take Our Nation Back!" (verbal bowel) movement, 'the ranchers,' etc. originated in the north west.

But in any case, the soon to be gone prez should take accountability for his own part in all this, and just come forth and admit his own culpability in pissing off so many Americans by way of his skin color, and say ... "I admit it, I am a black guy, it's my fault for that."

OH, I can just hear all the Republicans now, ... "OK, we'll pass anything you want now!, since you've admitted your own 100% fault for all this divisiveness."

Gosh bliss America.

"Which war was that?'

WTF cave were you living in at the time? The media had such a blast (and took great pride!) presenting the 'heroics' of 5,000 US tanks and maybe, about "8,000 sorties" of jet bomb attacks to same purpose, blasting all 500 tanks in the Iraqi 'force' into obliteration by a great variety of methods. (The Widows and The Orphans and all of The Cousins, The Sisters and the Aunts, whom Cheney blows up by the dozens!).

Oh my, I think I played a Gilbert and Sullivan thingy on the record player just yesterday. Pardon my indiscretion, there. We must bow to the gods of destruction when the media instructs us to do so, after all.

Or should we assume a facetious and wonderful snark effort on your part, there?

Just curious, maybe for my not fully awake self, yet, but ...

I think that is my favorite line of all time.

"Which war was that?"

Stoppits! Killing me here!

SO Paris Hilton-like.

Oh, the T-shirts ...

Yeah, once again you missed the point. Dizzy was saying Obama got the us out of no war costing trillions.

Neither she nor the poster she responded to said anything about a "war costing trillions."

I think I see the problem here in your 'reading' of world events, if your misreading of simple forum posts be any indication.
