Trump is up 4 points on hillary in ohio. Down by one point in pennsylvania. Hold on to your lunches liberals. Your world view is about to get severely disturbed...

I don't think anybody was expecting the vaguely liberal Sanders to beat the not-quite-reactionary-enough-to-please-the-Republican-rightists Clinton.

MasterDoc1 -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/18/2016 4:06:33 PM)

Latest national poll out today: 42% Trump
39% Clinton
10% Johnson

Those 5,000:1 odds are looking better now.

Why choose between a lying, crooked corporate shill or a loud-mouthed unprincipled schnook when there is another choice? With odds down to 4,000:1 perhaps by now?

Lucylastic -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/18/2016 4:15:51 PM)

Clarify which poll
Oh and did you not learn anything about believing polls After Romney didnt win by a landslide right up until the winner was announced.?

According to RCP
Only Ramussen and Fox polls are giving trump a lead so far this week

MasterDoc1 -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/19/2016 2:32:40 PM)

It was the Fox poll, Lucy.
And while obviously they might want to inflate Trump numbers, they have NO interest in inflating Johnson numbers.

The polls in 2012 generally showed Obama with a lead at election time (except for polls paid for by the Republicans)

Lucylastic -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/20/2016 7:01:29 AM)

The latest from a new NYT/CBS poll: "If the election were held now, 47 percent of registered voters would support Mrs. Clinton, versus 41 percent for Mr. Trump.
still believe the polls?

Well, I think Hilary is slightly less hated than Trump*, and resident muslims and Mexicans are allowed to vote.
Mind you, Gore had a poll lead over Bush the Second, and a fat lot of good it did. (Mind you, actually winning that election didn't do him any good either, so the poll doesn't seem to have been completely misleading in that case...)

Lucylastic -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/20/2016 7:30:18 AM)

There is no accounting for the stupidity of trumps base

WhoreMods -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/20/2016 7:51:53 AM)

Well, obviously. They wouldn't be Trump*'s base if they weren't stupid, would they?

*(Paaaaarp!)

Lucylastic -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/20/2016 8:11:26 AM)

it is a requirement in my estimation:)

WhoreMods -> RE: Leicester City and Trump vs Clinton: The Solution (5/20/2016 11:13:11 AM)

Trump is so paranoid that he feels threatened by fictional characters who don't really exist?
Very Presidential.

Do you not look at people's profiles (or spelling, come to that) before accusing them of being Americans?

Of course it isn't a bloke: it's Awareness.

If you look at the margin of errors, this is not incompatible with the Fox news poll.
And not surprising to me that the fox news poll errs on the side of Trump while the NYT/CBS poll errs on the side of Clinton.

But of course the poll you referenced is irrelevant to any point I was making because it didn't list Johnson as an option.
The only relevant question in the NYT/CBS poll was:
Q28. If Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the two parties' candidates for the presidency in November, would you be satisfied choosing between them or would you like other choices?

To which 52%(!) of all voters said they would like other choices.
Now if only all 52% of them were aware they had another choice (likely in every state in the USA).
But of course THAT is what the media is struggling to prevent people from realizing because they have too much money invested in our current state-corporate economic system.
