I was involved with a dominant woman once who was at a place in her life that she was somewhat paralyzed by depression. She had a big project due about certain disease conditions and treatments, and could not get her degree without it being completed by a certain deadline. I did if for her. Years later, that same paralyzing depression came up, and I tried hard to get her treatment and intervention. She felt that my going behind her back was a betrayal of trust, and she cut me out of her life. Fortunately she was hospitalized, and from what I hear is doing much, much better. She still won't speak to me, as she felt I betrayed her by seeking help for her. I'd rather lose her friendship than see her lose her life.
