Status: offline 		These memes say more about people who post them than they do about any point that the meme attempts to convey.

While I disagree with any measure that resembles affirmative action, to deny white privilege in this day and age is to deny that Chinese companies (and other Asian companies) do not "rent" white actors to pretend as though they are their head executives, in an attempt to make the company seem more prestigious or wealthy. It is not an American myth, it's a perception that is ingrained into the minds of many cultures and peoples from the years of colonialism and imperialism.

Aside from that, you might want to rethink your use of the word "brilliantly"; or "explains" for that matter.

And I suppose it is possible that they do understand but just deliberately choose to misuse the terms, but I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, if you would prefer to be known as a deliberately deceitful person, well OK, I will no longer assume your misuse of terms is due to ignorance, and will attribute it to deliberate deceit.

The political spectrum, according to Phydeaux and his fellow political illiterates on the USA's looney Right, is not something that most people would recognise as a political spectrum.

In Phydeaux's spectrum, anything to the left of Genghis Khan is on the "left liberal axis". This includes everyone from middle of the road types, even Thatcher fans like Politesub, through liberal to socialist, Marxist and, would you believe, fascist (Fascism is, according to these looney Right types, a "left wing phenomenon". This is a graphic indicator of how hilariously out of touch with reality Phydeaux's spectrum is). IOW anyone Phydeaux regards as to the left of his extreme Right wing views counts as liberal-socialist-marxist.

And let's not forget Phydueax's and Bounty's recent insistence that "liberals" are advocates of "legalising child sex, child pornography and adult-child relationships". (Posts# 86 and 93 @ http://www.collarchat.com/m_4906665/mpage_5/tm.htm )
This gives a salient insight into the looney Right's catastrophic (mis-)understanding of politics.

So perhaps it's best not to chafe at the indignity of being inaccurately described by Phydeaux - you're in good company. >99% of the political spectrum is also inaccurately classified and described by Phydeaux and his politically illiterate mates. It seems everyone is out of step except them.

Status: offline 		I am well aware of the way many Americans (not only those on the so-called looney right) misuse political terminology, and how their view of political philosophies is utterly incorrect and very skewed to the right. However, I studied political science (including a year at Cornell) and so actually know these things, and what is even more unfortunate, I loved studying it, and so to me the correct use of the terminology is very important, as it is not some vague thing along the lines that Phydeaux espouses, but rather a very precise set of tools that allow one to gauge and measure political movements and trends.

I also dislike the term "looney Right", I prefer to think of them as simply uneducated or perhaps ill-educated, and so I will plug away at educating them.

I think the accusation of 'self-flagellation' would be more accurate if we were to take any of your threads seriously, RM. Like most of your OPs, this one is too prejudiced, too unbalanced and overall too plain stupid to be worth talking about.
