MrRodgers -> Trump vs Clinton as of 5/21/16 (5/22/2016 7:47:45 AM)

Washington Post - ABC poll from C-Span this AM.

DEAD heat for the national election.

Negatives Trump 17%
Clinton 16%

With this being a whole new exec. election without an incumbent, this is going to be very interesting.

Also, big repub donors that gave $90 million in the last pres. election cycle, refuse to throw in behind Trump.

HOPE ?

Black woman calls in, she is a grandmother with 4 children all college grad. and 8 grandchildren, they are all thriving. I have helped all of my children find their success. Everybody in America can thrive.

Another black woman, 87, 4 children, all college educated, 12 grandchildren, all thriving and 4 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren...all of them are a success. I have helped all of my children to find success.

They both will vote for HRC.

You're missing the third candidate who is currently polling in the double digits and whose current slogan is "Make America Sane Again".

bamabbwsub -> RE: Trump vs Clinton as of 5/21/16 (5/22/2016 9:04:16 AM)

Is that the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson?

You are in effluent mode this eve are you not, and this thread invalid. Hmm :)

Read some articles that said that Clinton and Trump are almost equal in the public's belief that they are untrustworthy and dishonest. Probably the craziest election in my limited lifetime. Neither candidate is perceived well. The Democratic public are definitely not united behind the presumptive nominee as much as the Democratic party leadership. The Republican public is more united in the presumptive nominee than the Republican party leadership.

Maybe this is that year when a third party starts to rise.

FR

As usual, most people will not be voting for anyone, but against the other one. the question is how many will vote against which.

Bottom line we don't really want either, but which one don't we want more ? We got Trump who is going to toe the line no matter what because they all do, but make some minor decisions. Like not attacking Iran.

And then we got Clinton who said we will be attacking Iran. Now I am not accusing Trump of knowing basic math, but I am sure Clinton can't even balance a checkbook. Liberals are like that.

It is possible, just a little bit possible that when confronted with the proposal to attack Iran he might remember what Iraq did to this economy and give pause, just to think about what it will cost. It will cost TEN TIMES as much, guaranteed. And the result will be more terrorists.

Look at your terrorist reports they give you on the sheeplevision. How any are Iranian ? NONE. They are Afghan, Arab, whatever. But we gotta attack Iran because they wrote some checks to people we do not like. Bullshit, US money is pouring into terrorist groups, a known fact. And it is going to bite them in the ass.

So if they insist on running Clinton, they run a huge risk of making Trump President. A HUGE risk. They don't see it though because they are rich and aloof and live in their ivory towers and get their information from advisors n shit who are fucking clueless because none of them worked a day in their life.

And what the fuck is a "community organizer" ?

mnottertail -> RE: Trump vs Clinton as of 5/21/16 (5/22/2016 2:00:11 PM)

Nutsuckers are useless at fiscally responsible, so that is that. there is a 19 trillion dollar debt, and just more borrow and spend, afterall.

I don't see the huge risk, Trump won't do as well as Willard Romney did. Which was lost.

Termyn8or -> RE: Trump vs Clinton as of 5/21/16 (5/22/2016 2:20:04 PM)

You might be wrong there. A poll says 30 % of democrats will not vote for Clinton. They might not vote for Trump, but they might just stay home.

Could be enough to tilt the table. Look how many votes George W Bush "won" by.

Black voters....always the news cycle.

What about white voters?

Do they not deserve coverage?

White lives matter. Jewish lives matter. Latino lives matter. LGBTQ lives matter.

Sorry....I'm confused....I thought every life mattered.

(Ridiculous me).

Why is it always (some group) matters.......................more?

Why don't we all matter?

Why doesn't "US" (we) matter?

Why the FUCK are we always concerned about some group....[b]who wants to tear themselves (and their neighborhoods) apart....why do THEY matter?

Why don't......we.....matter?

Why don't we start focusing on US.....we....the collective....."all of us"....instead of.....

You.

Them.

How about.....

Us.

The whole of us?

The best comments I've seen on "Black Lives Matter" are the columns pointing out that the correct meaning has Always been, "Black Lives Matter TOO!" America has Never valued all lives. It's always valued Police lives, soldiers lives, White lives. Witness the mass response to 9/11 and all preceding mass White deaths and wars. And that black lynchings were public sport into WWII. Today's news from Oakland shows that black lives still are less than the lives of pets to many in the LEO forces of America. And this isn't in the deep South.
All Lives Don't matter in America, and never have. Black Lives Matter Too is the appropriate and needed response. LBGT and every other minority lives should matter just as much. They don't now, and America isn't living up to it's dream, it's potential or it's propaganda until they do.
The column on Black Lives Matter Too compared the specious claim All Lives Matter:
quote:

. . . Imagine that you’re sitting down to dinner with your family, and while everyone else gets a serving of the meal, you don’t get any. So you say “I should get my fair share.” And as a direct response to this, your dad corrects you, saying, “everyone should get their fair share.” Now, that’s a wonderful sentiment — indeed, everyone should, and that was kinda your point in the first place: that you should be a part of everyone, and you should get your fair share also. However, dad’s smart-ass comment just dismissed you and didn’t solve the problem that you still haven’t gotten any!. . .

Please define "your fair share" and how you expect to be getting it.

joether -> RE: Trump vs Clinton as of 5/21/16 (5/22/2016 3:50:32 PM)

Let's dispense with the bullshit....

Only 33-38% of registered voters will decided the election. Sadly, they really have no power so long as the electoral college is active.

That voting population will decide upon the House and Senate. At the end of that bullshit, Congress will....STILL...be in total gridlock and totally useless to the American People.

We'll have eight justices on the US Supreme Court and for the most part, not functional to the American People.

We have conservatives and liberals whom dislike the 'establishment' whom can't seem to agree to allow interns to support anyone in the House or Senate. We have conservatives and liberals whom like the establishment because they think they'll gain in someway from all the chaos.

Then there are the moderates. Whom will take up 30-40% of that 33-38% of the voting population. Most are clueless about anything and will just vote 'what sounds good in the moment'. They might side with liberals or conservatives.

This election year is bad in many different parts of the nation as well. Thanks to the GOP's Voter ID laws, less people are voting in those states. Due to disasters and problems, it will make voting harder on working adults.

Then there is a concept of a third party. If that group is conservative, Hilllary wins. If its liberal, Trump wins. The rest of the nation loses either way!

The ONLY positive light I've seen out of any of this is the President. He would like to make Election Day a federal holiday. Would give more people a chance to vote.

Because when few people vote, we experience terrible government. When many people vote, we see good government. When there are actual competitions for seats, we experience better government. The point I wish to make here, is that unless we as Americans encourage others to the voting booth; we'll never be happy with our government. Everything others have worked hard to create and maintain will slowly be unraveled.

Its really up to us Americans to make positive motions.

Ya know what's sad is...

Obama couldn't have gotten voted in without the white vote.....male white votes....

Wasn't white guilt...it was wishful....hope that he might bring something to the table....

The son of a bitch has eviscerated any (every) black hope....he gave blacks the reason to rebel....and they did.

He gave them a podium to stand up an say "were were wronged!!!"

And they did.

I sure hope it's finally time for all blacks, jews, even norwegians to say....

We're all one...let's move past this bullshit.

It's soooooo done.

Obama has always fan the flames. I see so many black people in successful positions now, the goal should be to focus on all the troubled black neighbourhood and how to help their children stay out of drugs and violence and do well in school and building a better future.

Not fan the flames about all the police brutality and racism stuffs. I mean, the police force is not majority white policemen right? Perhaps that may also depend white state or black state.

Personally, I think Obama doesn't understand how to enforce racial integration and cohesiveness. When he speaks, he only speaks for black people which makes other races feel, his just a black President for black people. Even Latinos and Asians will feel excluded.

I tell you IF Bush can speak out for Muslims and defend them on right after 9/11. A right wing racist person can do that? For the better good of the whole country, because he understands cohesiveness and keeping the country united is required to deal with such threat.

Obama should have spoke out for white people and tell all the blacks to calm down and that not all white people are like that. But he join the bandwagon to lynch the white people.
