it makes perfect sense for trump, and would be ultimately stupid for sanders, but it seems he has started believing his own propaganda about a road to the nomination and so is willing to do it.

Team Hillary has to shut this down.

No way, no how, can she afford to have Bernie looking like Trumps opponent.

The only way she can do that is to agree to debate Sanders, which is really a waste of time, however I have to wonder why her handlers didn't tell her to just do the debate in the first place rather than give Sanders an issue to cry about to the media.

Meaning no office to you Dizzy but she is handled by extreme dizzy people I think. They think they have it all locked up, end of problem. I am not so sure. I am wondering how many superdelegates will jump ship and come over to Bernies side.

Why? If she debates Sanders, the effect is either going to pull her further towards the left, while she's ready to move towards the center for votes. She doesn't want Sanders to have any extra opportunities to highlighting their differences.

The Trump/Sanders debate is a brilliant move by Sanders and Trump. It completely screws Hillary over. If she doesn't attend, she risks being excoriated with no opportunity to rebut or correct the dialog. If she does attend, she risks being excoriated and her rebuttals and corrections will be rebutted and corrected by Sanders and Trump. It's a Catch-22 for her.

One has to wonder if this might end up leading to some sort of cooperation between the two camps.

You got a point there. Too much debate, with the competitive nature of quite a few in the electorate along with his willingness to bring it all out and she is not ? He will gain appeal due to his perceived openness. Hopefully it is real.

I think all he has to do it challenge her and she is finished. She has so much dirty laundry on top of skeletons in the closet there are alot of Women who won't vote for her. And 30 % of democrats, not sorted said they will not vote for her. Some male democrats probably won't because they are not without their sexists.

Go ahead and run her, and then we will find out how Mr Golfcourse and hotel Man do at fucking the place up.

I refuse to say it can't get worse, because someone always finds a way. I almost never say now I've seen everything because the world always outdoes itself.

If Trump gets in, I want to see how he deals with the fed. And the banks.

Do you really think Sanders actually needs a genuine issue to go crying to the media? At least this saves him having to invent something.

(Also, it's possible that rather than making Bernie look more and Hilary look less credible as butthair's oponent, it might just make Presidential wannabe debates look less credible generally. That isn't inconceivable, and I'm sure it'd suit Hilary just fine.)

No it's not, and here is why: It completely screws Hillary over. It harms Clinton but will not alter the fact that she will be the Democratic nominee. And given that fact, it is not in Sanders' interest to damage her further, as he is now positioned to be a major influence on the Democratic party going forward, and he is far more likely to get more of his agenda accomplished under a Clinton presidency than under a trump one. What's more, if Clinton loses the general and he is seen as a major cause of that loss then Sanders will lose most, if not all, of his influence in the Democratic party and will go back to being the crazy independent/socialist guy from Vermont. By sabotaging Clinton, he is in fact sabotaging whatever chance he might have to accomplish the famed political revolution he is calling for.
In short, such a debate does nothing but hurt Sanders, but he seems to have started believing his own rhetoric about a path to the nomination.

Wicked foretold this would occur:; he ran the computations the last few weeks with his splendiferous abacus, whilst out his head on cheap Chardonnay. His initial view was that his own party would put a stop to his buffoonery - wreck him...but he didn't realise how despartae -(CFS for you that was my third go at typing that) the GOP were/are

Didn't bother doing it with Dracula or witchee as I believe she stormed into an unassailable early with hocus pocus (trump uses mumbo jumbo)

prey tell what's the delegate count and past the line number and remaining delegates and how bad your maths is.

You're used to the normal pretend religious oilmen. If nothing else, Trump is different.

In other words, it has gotten to the point where I think, and apparently alot of others think that we are better off with the devil we do not know than the one we do know.

But one thing is bound to happen which is good. These fucking political parties are going to bend to the will of the People. If it is Sanders/Trump, whichever side wins has to realize that their candidates did not win, in fact people they did not like won, their plans might not go as planned.

And the side that loses, especially if it is Clinton, that party has to reconsider its position at least a little bit. These parties I think are going to at least have to recognize the power of the People, at least a little bit. And we all know they have too much fucking power and have influenced elections and did bad things in doing so.

If you wanted a businessman for President the guy was Ross Perot, but he got made an offer he couldn't refuse. His numbers were like Trump's, very threatening to the PTB. If he hadn't dropped out he would probably be dead now. But he is in his 80s and worth like $4 billion so really, oh well. And the thing is, I think he would be better than Trump as a President. Though he did have a fialure here and there he actually did something. Something technical, not just dealing and developing real estate which almost anyone can do if they have the capital and use it wisely. Ross Perot was in the computer business, got a contract to computerize medicare records and then IIRC went on to develop the ECMs for the early computer controlled car engines. Now that is more useful than a golf course. Once the transistion to the wholly electronic system happened and they went to direct crank driven oil pumps you could now start your car in zero degrees (F) and drive right away. In the old days you had to let it warm up and wait until the idle would kick down. Remember that ? Actually I could custom set a choke to the engine so you almost drive immediately with a carbuerated car, but that was because I thought I might have to get the fuck out of somewhere fast. I hung with a pretty wild crowd. Anyway, when I set up a carb the instructions were different. It was not lean best idle it was best idle, ad I need the car overnight to properly set the choke, and I disabled the electric choke heater. But you could drive almost right away. Even now you should wait about a minute, but back then the oil pumps only ran half the speed of the crank so getting the pressure up took longer. Well, for the same displacement oil pump it would be twice as long. Hell, really old cars had a splash oil system, no pump at all. but then the clearances and low power and RPMs did not make these things necessary. But if you want 400 HP you gotta do a few things.

Where were we ? Yeah, the old days. Trump is at least old enough to remember them, and like me probably mature enough to have given up bigotry, at least for the most part. Even if he is a bigot he cannot pass laws that pertain to only certain races, except you know who. Just like Sanders cannot raise your taxes. A bill has to go through both houses of congress and he has to them sign it. If it is a tax increase there is a record of every scumba..., err congresscritter who voted to put it on his desk and the voters will be told.

If they remember is a different story. People do forget really fast.
