AtUrCervix -> People who can't spell.... (6/1/2016 3:40:41 PM)

As a guy (sue me) I read chics profiles....seeking "The One"....and I find (chics) who can't spell....have NO concept of grammar....and I just GRIT my teeth and think...."could I live with this chic?"

No.

Never.

Not EVER.

Chicks, not chics.

I love unintentional irony

littleclip -> RE: People who can't spell.... (6/1/2016 6:07:13 PM)

i rely on spell check myself

I'm not entirely convinced that it wasn't unintentional.

Maybe her phone made an autocorrect that wasn't right. Maybe she was in a hurry when writing her profile. I know we expect great, but sometimes we may not get that. Instead of judging, maybe that could be something you teach her to do better. I know it would suck to pass up on something that could be wonderful due to a grammical error.

The OP has a habit of starting threads on entirely random topics, many of them one-liners. Look in this board and Off the Grid and you will find several just from this week. The one feels no different. I doubt there is anything of import behind the post.

Which brings to mind that most useful of Collarchat smileys:

How is this BSDM?

QualityFirst -> RE: People who can't spell.... (6/2/2016 10:51:45 AM)

As long as I can understand a text, I don't care about spelling and grammar errors, and I don't judge people on them. The ladies who write errors can very well have brilliant human and BDSM qualities.

Moreover, don't forget that for many participants (like me), English is not their mother tongue.

Ah, I didn't check, probably should have. He must be bored .

I don't know anyone on this board, outside of the board. I RARELY communicate with anyone from here outside of the forum, so I don't much about anyone. But I think the OP is pretty regular, and is known under another username as well. But not because they were trying to be a sock, but because they lost access to the other username? But other posters know him and sometimes refer to him by that other name.

That's what I have gathered by reading on here, anyway. If I'm wrong, I don't mind be corrected at all.

As for his posts, at least he isn't like a lot of the socks that have populated these boards recently, such as Team Suck Poppet, who regularly attacked people and were ridiculously delusional. A lot of his one-liners seem to be random statements that sometimes provoke others to respond with a chain of like-minded statements, and it can get amusing. All in fun, it seems to me anyway.

linaka -> RE: People who can't spell.... (6/2/2016 11:55:04 AM)

I've always felt that one of the primary fundamentals of this lifestyle is to be 'non-judgmental'.

BDSM lifestyle members know first hand that judgments placed upon them
by NON BDSM people
can result in harmful experiences regarding our lifestyle.

To be accepting of alternate lifestyles
is one of the first steps
in developing your knowledge of BDSM.

It's too bad that you've not learned this.

Good luck to you.

TNDommeK -> RE: People who can't spell.... (6/2/2016 12:52:38 PM)

I'm assuming that was a fast reply or some mix up. I'll assume you meant the OP, and not me

I've always found this interesting because without judgement you have no boundaries.

And I believe the so-called "primary fundamentals" is not to judge someone else's kink, but again the reality is that we need to have judgement about the kink of others. What if the kink is kids or dogs or actual abuse?

To claim that we have to accept everyone as part of our group simply because we share an interest in four letters is ridiculous.

I would argue that not using judgement among our own is more dangerous than the judgement of the general public.

So, you maintain that bad spelling and illiteracy is an alternative lifestyle? Because that is the subject of the OP.

Maybe there's some kinsksters who've picked up on Riddley Walker the way the Goreans did the Gor novels, and use mangled English as a lifestyle choice?

Good catch. Sometimes less is more.

FR

If you're sort of educated, as I am, and you see a photo on a profile of a femdom who looks sophisticated and stuff ... *God* does the fantasy get shattered when you start to read her profile and she writes like a cretin. It's *so* disappointing. Hey well. I imagine femsubs have their equivalent experiences.

Yes it is disappointing. Unfortunately, its more the norm than the exception.
