http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3629593/What-f-k-did-Horrifying-video-shows-man-knocking-girlfriend-repeatedly-punching-face-furious-argument.html

Woman punches 8 times, slaps 11 times, and kicks 2 times over 55 seconds. Man finally punches back 5 times over 6 seconds. Title of story: "Shocking video shows man punching girlfriend to the floor."

Just imagine if it was the man hitting first and the woman gives the last blow and knocks the man over. No doubt people would be cheering, saying things like "he deserved it". Yet, hardly anyone would think that she deserved what happened.

The shock value wouldn't be there if things were the other way around.

In my opinion, if it happened either way, both are still wrong.

Lets play the "what would the headlines reach if the genders had been reversed"-game.

My guess: Heroic woman knocks out her abusive boyfriend.

Greta75 -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/10/2016 9:56:17 PM)

If my baby brother who is weaker than me punches and kicks me, should I beat the crap out of him in return?
No!

The strong protect the weak! That's what I believe in! If you are physically stronger, you still don't hurt a runt hurting you.

Men are generally much physically stronger than a woman.

No, did you read ?

"Woman punches 8 times, slaps 11 times, and kicks 2 times over 55 seconds. Man finally punches back 5 times over 6 seconds. "

I can't get the video from that fucked up website so I cannot really comment too much. I can say this much though, I would only have to hit her once back in the day. No worries about the phone or anything. I never had to do it but even the Men I know who would never ever beat a Woman would if she started it. And them there are some who would fuck her up. Be careful out there.

T^T

One can only imagine how utterly miserable your life is.

Me and my x-dom, were about the same weight, and his barely taller than me too. To me, his like a runt of a guy, and when we "rape play", I always arrogantly thought I was giving him chance, by not over-struggling, because I believed I could over-power him IF I used full strength so I always held back. On top of that, he smokes, is unfit, can't out-run, he can't even out-cycle me IF his on a big bike and I'm on skates. I can run a full marathon, he can't even survive 10km I think.
I am a sports freak who exercises alot, he just sits down and drink beer and watch TV all day in his free time, with ZERO exercise. He also got skinny genes. He can eat all the Macdonalds, fries and pizza all he wants, drink coke all he wants, and doesn't gain a pound. That's why his light.

But one day, I mentioned that to him that I've been giving him chance ha, and he said, give me your best! Let's test that theory.

To my absolute horror, I realise that, it was the other way round. He has been gentle on me, he has been holding back his full strength. When I used full strength to struggle, he completely defeated me effortlessly. And it made me realise like shit, if this was real non-consensual situation, I am fucking screwed!

Anyway, plays like that always brings home to me that when a man wants to seriously hurt you, they actually can.

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 12:51:38 AM)

Neither is in the right, though the guy did go way overboard when he went after the blonde woman's camera/phone (at least that's what I thought he was doing).
So, who is the worst? The man.

Greta75 -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 1:51:07 AM)

FR

I finally watched the video. Fuck, the woman is so petite, her punches and her slaps were just taps. You can see her punches were like not even with strength. She wasn't even trying to hurt him.

But the man when he punched her back, went at her like a boxer. He went full fucking strength. He knocked her to the ground. Face punch.

And their size and strength and differences is clear. He could have just grab her hands and restrain and give her a fierce warning to not hit him again. She was so much smaller and weaker than him. He could have everything under control, he wasn't at any threat in any time. Instead, he just stood there and let her hit him, until he decided to attack back, AFTER falsely hugging her and telling her he loves her.

WTF!

As I said, if my baby brother threw a tantrum and launch a physical attack on me. I would restrain him and tell him to calm down. I would never hit him back. This man is 101% wrong!

The strong protect the weak and don't attack the weak. Period! IF the weak attacks you, be the bigger person.

I am so disgusted with this man. It reminds me of my x-dom who would laugh as a teenage boy when his mom beat him when her slipper, and he'll say to his mom, "Mom! Stop hurting yourself!"
That's a proper man. Protect women. Do not attack them!

I don't approve of violence in any form, but unless your life is in danger, using other people's violence as an excuse to react in violence is no excuse, unless you are really defending yourself from getting hurt from someone much stronger attacking you. If a weaker person is attacking you, restrain the person. Show mercy.

Because end of the day, to me, the fact that this man is willing to hit her back at all, shows what kind of character he is. His life was not in danger at any point.

Greta75 -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 2:11:05 AM)

Another thing is. I don't know if this works the same the law anywhere else in the world. But in my country, 2 equal men in a fighting brawl. Whoever threw the punch first does not matter. Let's say Man A threw the first punch that incite Man B to pummel Man A into a pulp, that Man A needs to be hospitalized. Guess who goes to prison? Man B. Not Man A. For both not to go to prison, I guess the damage to each other has to be equal. One cannot be exceedingly worst than the other.

In that video, I'd say the man hit the woman way harder than she hit him.

Still it makes me sick. If this was a big woman picking on a small defenseless man. Beating the shit out of him. I'd say jail her ass! But this was not the case.

crazyml -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 2:19:25 AM)

I watched the video.

What I saw was a tiny woman being physically intimidated by a man twice her size. I saw her hit him a number of times, I saw that her punches had no effect whatsoever. The I saw the man, twice her size, batter her senseless.

Only someone fantastically fucked up would attempt to use this video to try to make some kind of point about how men are victims.

Really fucked up.

RM, is your life soo fucked up that you were never taught NOT to hit a woman??

I was brought up with a touch of chivalry.
The fact that the man made just a single swing at the woman is just a no-no in my books.
Defend, yes. Deflect, yes. Restrain, yes.
To actually punch back?? Absofuckinlutely not. Not ever.
It wouldn't matter if she was twice his size and stature, it's something any decent man just wouldn't do.

You are just sooo fucked up on all levels.
Sheesh! What a fucking douchcanoe!
And you support these motherfuckers??
You are even less of a worm than I thought you were.
You need to crawl back under that slimy rock you came from.

My parents always taught me that only weak men, cowards, assholes and bastards ever hit a woman.

This shit, and yet you keep harping on about women being abused in Islam.

It's starting to look like your real objection to female abuse in other cultures is jealousy. Do you want some of that sweet action? How good would it feel to knock out a whining feminist eh respectmen?

Kaliko -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 4:29:06 AM)

I agree that this video is horrific, even though I do see the point you're trying to make.

1. There was a video out there at one time - maybe it was even referred to here in the forums. A man and a woman had done an experiment out on the streets. A man was being abusive toward the woman. People were outraged and tried to intervene to help. Then, the woman was being abusive toward the man. People laughed and found it amusing.

2. Just looking at the first minute of the video, yes, the woman hit him and we look at that and think (or at least, I thought) - wow, he's taking that really well. She was being a bit of a cunt, really. If that were the whole video, I would hope that there would be some outcry about it because yes, I agree with you that if the genders were reversed, people would be pissed. Even if the slaps and kicks were light like hers and didn't take her down, it's still abusive and people would be bullshit about it, so yes...I would hope people would be equally bullshit about her beating on him.

3. But...he didn't slap her, he punched her. Several times. He wasn't defending himself, he wasn't trying to bring her out of a moment of rage. He reacted in anger. Anger brought on by her actions toward him? Yes, I have no doubt. He basically could have swatted her away like a gnat with no repercussions. She was clearly not having any impact on him physically. He chose to try to just take it - maybe in retrospect that wasn't a good choice for him because it was all bottled up until, it looked like, she said something that tipped him over the edge. And then he unleashed on her.

Physically, her unleashing on him is simply not the same as him unleashing on her. They may have both been at the same level of anger, but their different physical capabilities mean that they come out with vastly different levels of force. But, it's interesting to consider that maybe they both put in the same level of force, if that makes sense. Interesting or not, the point has already been made which I agree with. She's smaller than him, the impact of a punch is more forceful on her (clearly), and it turned my stomach to watch it.

4. However,...if this were two men fighting, regardless of the size and strength of either, this would be a non-event.

So if I ponder exactly why this turned my stomach, things get a little more fuzzy.

Is it because she's smaller than him and not as strong? Honestly, if she were a man, I suspect many of us would be thinking "Well, he asked for it, and good on the bigger guy for holding out so long."

Although then it would turn into a discussion about how men shouldn't have to use aggression to prove their manliness. Yawn.

It it because she's a woman? Yes, I admit that it bothers me to see a man hit a woman like that - because she's a woman. But it probably shouldn't bother me for that reason if I were more interested in equality of the sexes.

Is it because I've grown up in the same world as many of you and I'm simply conditioned to believe that woman-on-man violence is acceptable but man-on-woman violence is not?

In general, I wouldn't condone any physically stronger person beating on a smaller person when they have the opportunity to remove themselves from the situation instead. That, in my mind, shows more weakness than strength. But really - it's interesting to drill it down to see exactly why we consider this video so horrific because again, if it were two men fighting, we wouldn't even be talking about it.

If that female was a puny man instead, I'd still be like, WTF? Dude should have walked away and laugh and tell the little guy go away. And not attack the little guy.

I totally believe in the whole, "Pick on someone your own size!" thingy! There is no glory in winning a fight with someone significantly tinier and weaker than you.

Greta75 -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 6:55:42 AM)

That video disturbs me ALOT, because the guy just dragged the woman into the car with him and drove off.

And since it's Russia or if it's in Russia, she could be killed later and it'd just be like that!

Abused women disturbs me alot. I remember an incident in Singapore at a shopping mall, where a Caucasian guy beat his Chinese girlfriend in the middle of a very crowded mall. There is one thing about seeing a Chinese guy hit his Chinese girlfriend. But when a Caucasian guy does it, alot of Chinese men jumped on him and restrained him until the police came. It's very hypocritical in a way. They cannot stand to see a Foreigner hit their local women, but if their own kind hit their own woman, there is no such heroic reaction. In many such social experiments, it's often a foreigner who come to the rescue instead, ironically.

But the worst outcome of that incident is the girl who was beaten plead with the crowd to leave her boyfriend alone. And got angry at the crowd for interfering. And well, she basically saved her boyfriend from the mob. And personally, if a man ever hit me, I'd let the mob have him. His dead to me.

I have so far in my life never experienced being with a man who is capable of physical violence towards women and I like to think I choose my men that way intentionally. But if I ever meet one, I think I will seriously plot serious revenge on him! No man hits me and gets away with it! I got beaten up so much as a kid by my own parents and authorities at school, ironically I have never been bullied by my peers, only authority figures who can because they were adults with the power and I was a kid, smaller, reliant on them for survival, and had no choices back then, that I got like so much rage about people beating other weaker people, the strong picking on the weak, if I ever got hit by anybody bigger and stronger than me again, I think I will destroy that person in any way I could! Will definitely not be turning the other cheek. But I know myself that I would throw away my entire future to get the justice that I feel that should happen, and that's why, I walk away from any man who seem even remotely temperamental and don't bother with him again, also, I'm super good at pressing buttons and I try to intentionally press alot of buttons to piss him off just to see how he handles rage right from the beginning. If I can't do anything to piss him off, that's usually a good sign of his good temperament. So far, it works brilliantly for me in staying around good temperament men.

I guess I just see this a little differently than most. Nobody knows why she was freaking out but unless this guy shot her mother, what right did she have to use violence to get her point across at all? It doesn't matter if he could take the blows without injury. Yes, he was wrong to pursue her and attack after she had backed off. But if it had been me getting slapped and kicked, I would have let her have the first shot for free (just because I'm a gentleman). After the second hit, I would've given her one solid jack to the piehole and walked away.

So basically, violence is okay if you're not very good at it?

This kind of shit is why women's violence is constantly excused. Fact is, women are every bit as violent as men and their lesser strength is used as a justification to try and talk men into being willing victims.

Fact is, she's an abusive piece of shit and this highlights the very reality that at least half of domestic violence is broken people abusing each other.

Three seperate times (crazy bitch with mental issues) came at me with a knife. I cold coked her once each time. She dropped the knife. When I called for emergency help, the cops wanted to press charges against me. Crazy.

ManOeuvre -> RE: Is the man the only one who is bad? (6/11/2016 9:58:34 AM)

KD,

I was thinking of posting something about the merits of grappling in this case, but it looks like you beat me to it.

Yes, there is no doubt that with such a size difference, even if the man had no clue how to wrestle/grapple or са́мбо the heck out of someone (an unsafe assumption) he could have subdued her without the least chance of injury to either of them. It takes a tremendous amount of strength to be gentle, and there's no doubt the man had the relative strength.

I saw this video a few nights ago, and have discussed it with a few people.

RM's arguments are a touch difficult to sympathize with, not the least because his brand of English doesn't come across as RP, but I think that the wider point he is trying to make, that I would agree with, not specific to this svobodnik is that there is more to the video than "Man brutally KO's woman" and that to pretend that the story starts and ends there is disingenuous.
