Where you capable of reason you would see that he considers an armed citizenry to be the foundation for our advatages.

Without an armed citizenry which one of the slaves would have shown up for work?

Here is Alexander saying pretty much what I said only in much flowery language.

"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state. In a single state, if the persons intrusted with supreme power become usurpers, the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair."
- Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 28

And Hamilton was the big government guy of the time.

And this

"As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the article in their right to keep and bear their private arms."
- Tench Coxe, Philadelphia Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789

"The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed."

This isn't an attempt to go back to that silly argument that since slave catchers carried guns the 2nd was passed to help slavers is it .

ironically though, isn't it insightful, and a parallel to the fear of the framers and a reasoning for the second amendment, that the slavers were able to tyrannize the slaver precisely because they had guns.

I am going to say I cant pencil this out, I expect you need to revise it, too many slaveRs and not enough slaves. 'the slavers tyrannize the slavers' It can go either way depending on where you put the slaves.

Isn't it ironic that you do not know that it was slave owners who pimped the 2nd.

Isn't it ironic that you do not know that the non slave owning framers were against slavery and from day one sought to expunge it from the amerikan society.

I made a typo in my post above, I meant to say: that the slavers were able to tyrannize the slaves..."

but as I was thinking about your post anyways, I realized that your statement of "were you capable of reason", while certainly legitimate given his serial inability, its really beside the point---he's a troll, in the same malevolent vein as mnottertail. their main purposes, reasoning aside, are to be vulgar, mean-spirited, abusive and disruptive.

Well, you are a gaybashing hateful factless despicable troll in the vein of a felchgobbler. Your main purpose is to be a toiletlicker and spew factless nutsucker propaganda and hate gay people in your common vulgar, ignorant, moronic, shiteating fashion. Your main purpose is to be a felchtrumpet of the disengenuous contemptable nutsuckers.

I dont even have to think about that. It is loud and clear in every post you make.

Thanks for correcting the typo, I thought it might be what you meant to write.
