Musicmystery -> Trump campaign funds going to Trump enterprises (6/22/2016 5:52:39 AM)

much of the money the Trump campaign managed to collect “went back into Trump corporate products and services.”

[The Associated Press] reported that a review of Federal Election Commission filings shows $6.2 million – or about 10 percent of total campaign expenditures – had been disbursed to the candidate’s corporate products and services through the end of May.

The campaign has paid $423,000 to Trump’s private Mar-a-Lago Club in south Florida for rent and catering and an additional $135,000 in rent and utilities to Trump Restaurants LLC.

Even $4.7 million spent on campaign swag has a tie to Trump: The provider, Ace Specialties, is owned by a board member of son Eric Trump’s charitable foundation.

Not surprisingly, details like these are raising questions anew from Trump critics who’ve argued his entire campaign venture is some kind of scam.

I wonder if we can get a comment from Greta about this, as she believes that Flump's "lean" campaign budget is showing the way to save money?

And his so-called self funding consists of him loaning his campaign money, which he then turns around and spends at Trump owned businesses.

I know that. You know that. The Flumps, however, seem unwilling to admit it, don't they?

Dude, he owns the facilities that can aid his campaign. If his funding his own campaign, why shouldn't he employ his own company rather than other companies?
It's still a lean campaign.
I mean Jeb Bush had 100 million worth of campaign funds and spent so much and still lost.

I would say that is pretty much crappy.

I wonder: is it possible he is using it as payback of his personal loan to his funds with interest and deduce losses from tax?

Some said Berlusconi in Italy had tried something like that.

I seriously have no idea why do you guys expect him to spend his own money in other people's businesses who have not supported him financially.

Clinton and others who are running do not have the choice of their own business to provide the things needed. If they did, they would have used it too.

When he is campaigning around this country, he would be an idiot to spend money staying in a property he doesn't own when he can in stay in on he does own. Who wouldn't do the exact same thing ?

He actually stays in property he doesn't own as well. Didn't he say he was staying in Holiday Inns at some point of time? To try a less luxurious hotel?

Someone without a conflict of interest.

servantforuse -> RE: Trump campaign funds going to Trump enterprises (6/22/2016 9:55:01 AM)

Staying in a hotel that you own is a conflict of interest ?

When paid for with public campaign funds?

[8|]

It's the definition of conflict of interest.

WhoreMods -> RE: Trump campaign funds going to Trump enterprises (6/22/2016 11:10:43 AM)

Particularly when you're carefully inflating the bills you charge yourself.

Lucylastic -> RE: Trump campaign funds going to Trump enterprises (6/22/2016 11:14:37 AM)

Recipients of payments from Trump campaign with “Trump” in name, through May 31. Doesn’t include Mar-a-Lago/planes.

If someone donates money to a campaign, they can spend it how they choose. It is not public money. It is private money.

Still, at least the fact that he's been busily shuffling money between his business accounts, campaign account and elsewhere for six months now explains why he's taking so long to produce those tax figures, doesn't it?

What public campaign funds? He barely got any donation support from the public.

If the bills are inflated, he should have spent as much as Jeb Bush.
