The donald has been saying all along he is running a SELF-FUNDED campaign! Among other things, an excuse why he doesn't need to release his tax filings. Only, he's 'running out' of whatever he has chosen to call his campaign funds (Down to $1.4 M, claiming $46m spent) and is sending out messages asking for contributions. A $10B guy can't find $10m to get to the convention? Where he Would get public funding? And presumably some Republican money? So much for self-funding? Which begs the question, how can a multi-Billionare be short of less than $10M? HRC has a $42M campaign fund at present.
Silicone Valley is stepping back from any contributions to the national Republican Party (Assuredly not ignoring key local and state contests) and many of the main Red funders are sitting on their thumbs as well. No sign of Wall Street wanting a loose cannon in charge. While HRC is the Right's nemesis, to the actually intelligent people running World Finance, a calm and predictable Centerist, who has digestable and comprehensive plans for economic growth and stability. Exactly what financial investors dream of hearing.
Only true Flumpers could ignore the irony of such a successful mega-businessman unable to self-fund with less than 1% of his worth. Hopefully the large, and critical, 'undecided' see the emperor has no clothes (The irony continues, Donald isn't wearing any pants?), and vote the usual, 'least worst' candidate.
