I made a bet with someone about this thread, and the taker just conceded.

You can't do that! What was the bet? You don't have to name the "loser"; just tell us why they lost?

I bet that the thread would descend into name-calling before the end of the first page.

K.

And you found someone willing to bet it wouldn't?!

Not that it wouldn't, but that it wouldn't quite that fast.

I was hoping to connect with any real christians who are into BDSM. Perhaps this is not the place for it and if not I apologize but I would be interested in talking with those who are church going fairly regularly and have some kink or swing activities in their life.

So with that in mind...are there any?

There are plenty of people here who call themselves Christians, but oddly enough, their behavior seems to illustrate they're anything but.

There is a 3rd testament there. Would could it the NEW, new testament. Better yet, the secular humanist testament. Christians and what of Christianity they no longer observe. Be quite a book and not that short.

PapiKink -> RE: Are there any real Christians on here? (7/12/2016 2:20:15 PM)

That's right. The council voted on a mix of views & practices picked from several versions of Christianity. So it became a whole new thing. Just like the edited books became the bible . Not the true books.

You may want to check out FetLife, which offers a variety of groups that might interest you.

https://fetlife.com/groups/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=christian

Good advice. OP, if you were not already aware, that is also a free site for kinky social media networking--not a dating site, per se.

On the question of 'real Christians' as pertaining to [kinky] practitioners of Christianity and not necessarily churchgoers: L'habit ne fait pas le moine
which literally translates to The habit doesn't make the monk. [sm=smile.gif]

ArinMora -> RE: Are there any real Christians on here? (7/12/2016 6:25:49 PM)

I knew there would be some who wanted to blast me and again try to degrade my life choices...which seems ironic considering the progressive nature of those on this site, so much for tolerance, but within the first few hours of me posting?

For those whom seem to be interested in helping....yes I meant those who go to church and practice BDSM.

For everyone else who seem to be intolerant...I don't care what you think. Regardless of your supposed progressive intelligent opinion, it is simply of no value to me. If you can't be helpful, then go look in the mirror before judging my faith. I hate intolerance as well.

I second DC's suggestion.

(Sorry. That's DCNovice.)

Fetlife has more specific groups associated with it. This is more of a catchall site.

I might also suggest you check out some of the Taken in Hand websites. I couldn't say much about the swinging angle, but they do tend to lean towards the male HoH/domestic discipline types.

PapiKink -> RE: Are there any real Christians on here? (7/12/2016 7:07:52 PM)

Does it not seem to anyone else that the bdsm lifestyle runs so contrary to the concept of Christianity? I'm very much aware that every religious person believes that THEIR version of THEIR religion is the RIGHT version & everyone else's version is NOT, but is this lifestyle deemed Christ -like to the point that a Christian can justify it & still think they will go to heaven and their god is giving them a thumbs up with approval?

Cinnamongirl67 -> RE: Are there any real Christians on here? (7/12/2016 7:11:15 PM)

Be bold and speak child.
Be careful what you say. It is for you to know and them to find out. If you need to speak your heart do it.
No matter what, God is listening.
You people dare routinely to be so cruel? Try kindness.

Yes, I am a Christian. Proud of it by the way.

I didn't see anyone being intolerant, except for the few who proclaim their faith loudly and often on here.

I see it plain as day.
Adversity to good, kindness, love, tolerance, and being generous is a bad thing? How simple is that, do for the right thing?
If your life mission is to argue these positive qualities to the death, and make people feel bad because you do or whatever. It isn't going to go well. Case closed.

Care to 'splain yourself and what the BDSM lifestyle means to you, because I get the distinct impression that you feel WIITW[/You]D is sinful and shameful, that having kinky desires is in direct violation of your conscience, or whatever it is you ascribe to Christ-based codes of morality.

If so, then your incongruent perceptions may stem from your own sexual hang-ups, internalized guilt complexes, and possibly retroactive feelings of remorse.

I have no such qualms in embracing a healthy sexuality comprised of sensually erotic elements, which can be therapeutically cathartic in nature for both my (exclusive) partner & myself.
More importantly, I am not a *slave* to my ego, as I see so many people are from all walks of life.
In this alternative lifestyle, I am not a *slave* to my fetishes and kinks and am not attracted to intimate partners who are *slaves* to theirs.
No cognitive dissonance here.

Unless you are not a man of your word, or else you opportunistically seek to "get over" on others like the typical vanilla-styled sociopathic degenerate, or are otherwise conducting yourself in an unethical manner, I do not see what you are getting at.

In fairness, any person of faith should be willing to proclaim so. No different than anything else, really.

This nice lady gives wonderful advice and is very kind. She is a Christian and highly intelligent. Above my pay grade ( total joke! And true too)

Hint to original poster- know thy own self. Seek self awareness. Download and read one verse a day on the Holy bible Apple application. Or read the real live book, one verse daily or not. Do not confuse yourself with asking multiple people advice with what you already know.
Take care of yourself. Big hugs.

True enough, however that has nothing to do with my point, which was that the most intolerant people on here are generally the one's who proclaim their Christianity the loudest.

There are some Christian BDSM forums and you may wish to check out people who are into "taken in hand".
