Obama was neither great or terrible. He has done whatever he was told to do or otherwise about the best he could do given the cards he was dealt. Some could say and not inaccurately, that all presidents are bad, some are just...worse then others. Presidents rarely have the power to be great. They do however have the opportunity to be very bad, the most useful of idiots for those behind the scene...the power behind the throne. As has been the case, the bottom 60% of the country in power and income/wealth, muddle on and try to get along and fear any real change in the system.

Perhaps, like quite a few others that don't know how to use the boards, it's time you learnt how to use it properly. Find the post you want to reply to and hit the "Reply" button. If you want to include what they typed, use the "Quote" button instead and it'll include their post in your reply - something that Thomson hasn't mastered yet. That way, the name of the person you are replying to will show at the bottom of your post regardless of how many other posts appear in the thread when yours is submitted. The white box at the bottom will just add your post to whoever was last in the thread at the time and I'm guessing it was designed to be a 'general' reply box to nobody in particular (ie, a "Fast Reply").

Nobody expected when Obama was elected president that all the racists in this country would simply lay down their arms and sing Kumbaya. Only the delusional Right was talking about a “post-racial” society, mainly in order to self-servingly erase civil rights laws and such. We always knew that Obama would be like an itch to a festering sore and sadly would make the problem of racism worse before it would ever get better. You have to see the problem to see that it is a problem, and now we can see the problem like a cockroach that’s been exposed to the light, thanks to Obama. Sadly, the infestation of racism in this country is worse than maybe even he imagined, but at least it’s now in the open where we can work to exterminate it as best we can.

Another one who thinks white folks...especially those from the right ...are the only problem. Perhaps you should do like the lady inn Chicago...get yourself a sign that says "BLACK America, I'm sorry" and march through a black neighborhood with it..
