I have answered the question succinctly and correctly many times, but not in this thread. I will now :

There are rapists and criminals out there who would be more active if they were not afraid of death. The fear of death is the only thing that keeps these animals away from the door in say, Parma, Ohio, where some people reload their own rounds light so when they shoot varmint they don't bother the neighbors as much. The cops do not come to a residence simply for a gunshot and your ass could be buried in the backyard before they got there anyway.

This is what keeps crime down. The criminals can almost count on the cops never catching them because for the most part the cops simply do not care. And while they will put someone away for a long time for selling some pot, even if rapists and thieves and killers are caught, most of the latter get pretty light sentences. The average for first degree murder is what, 13 years ? There are people doing that kind of time for possession of weed.

The just us system is all fucked up here. The Parents are all fucked up here, hell half of them are criminals, what do you think they will raise ?

You get rid of these people and we will consider getting rid of the guns. When people no longer believe using force to get what they want is OK, maybe we can talk. When people respect the rights of others gimme a call.

Years ago a buddy of mine, Tony, was at the ATM drawing out some cash. Guy comes up "I'll take that money" and Tony asked "Do you have a gun ?". "No". "Do you have a knife ?". "Nope". Now Tony is a pretty tough motherfucker, so it was BOOM BOOM BOOM and then "I'll take YOUR money now bitch".

But, what if it was my Mother who is 75 and all about 5'4" or something like that, might be shrinking. She should have a gun. Some of these fucking animals they raise here will rape a 75 year old Woman.

These thugs are like having wild animals running around the streets. You really need to come here and let me "show you around".

But the short answer is that we need guns because we got the criminals. It is not yet time to go against the government, but if you don't live you will go against nothing.

Everyone should have a gun and know how to use it, and have the mental maturity to know when not to use it. But we cannot achieve that when nobody even teaches their kids basic respect for others. And it has nothing to do with race. Even Dr. Pierce wrote an article "The Bums Are White Again". There are some details he asserts with which I do not agree, but his point was on it.

Point is, some are evolving and some are devolving.

Early in my electronics career for half the day I went on deliveries. I delivered TV to the ghetto. You wouldn't believe how some of these people live(d). A kid would have to really be specially gifted and motivated to get out of that environment to make it. I really regret that so many of them have to be killed but if you want a good society there are simply some people you do not want there.

And it is not necessarily race. I know a White family which I would not even want in the same city. The smartest of the six kids looked over the Father's shoulder in the car and got his PIN for the bank card. Ripped him off and went on a spree. Got stopped by a cop and beat the shit out of him and took his gun. I thought they had physical training ? And this guy is not that big. But if a cop can get his gun taken away by someone smaller than him, do you really trust them to protect you ?

What's more the court has ruled they have no duty to protect you.

If this does not answer your question, than no answer ever will answer it because you are extremely polarized on the issue. Not to your satisfaction. Like a global warming denier. Thinks we can burn all this shit and it makes it colder. This is about the same thing, disarm the honest people and the dishonest people will all be nice and turn in their guns too, and not work out and be strong either. Makes about the same amount of sense.

But it did not make me gunshy, and I never accepted any form of victim status. Being a victim is always your choice, not the thug or perp. After a while, once I healed up and was back to normal it was like "So what".

There is getting to be two kinds of people. One is the coddled and can't even stand any bad words and need political correctness, and the other is cognitively defective and will cut your head off for bumping into them. At least that seems to be the way it is heading.

I was raised in a time, and by people, who are gone now. My Mother is still alive but my raising years are over. I do not like what I see. Back in the day the doors were never locked, and if you park in the driveway you leave your keys right in the ignition. :Lock the car doors ? Never hearrd of such a thing. Maybe once in a while when something was in there valuable. And if the glovebox was locked it was because there was a gun in there.

The biggest change I see is the people. People had respect for each other, and their space, their car, their house. No stealing. I don't know if the Ten Commandments did that, but something did. It was just how people were raised.

Now we got so many animals it is ridiculous.

In this we see the bigest problem with my posts, my brain said too, my fingers ran off and typed the two they do the most, and since two was spelled correctly it didn'i register.

An I didn't say all gun grabbers feel that way, but when some moron comes up with that penis substitute garbage I like to give them all the respect they have earned.
