The police officer was "aiming" for the autistic man and missed?

A bit of light 'n' fluffy time, if people are up for it. I thought of the embarrassment of the cop in question and it reminded me of embarrassing things cops have done here. Fortunately, natch, they've rarely involved gunshot wounds. But embarrassing they still are.

I know a guy who is quite a marksman and might be able to do that. But I have to agree about cops. Like the 41 rounds for a guy with a fucking knife. If I was a cop I would quit.

Shooting is like driving. Visual acuity only counts sometimes. If you are within about ten yards you can kill if you know how to shoot. The acuity comes in at longer ranges. Like driving, when conditions are optimal you could about be half blind. But when it is dark, raining or whatever, then eyesight counts.

From what I have seen over the years, the only logical conclusion is that cops are scared shitless. I KNOW they have to qualify at the range every so often, but out in public there are plenty of instances of shitty shooting.

We have all seen TV and movies where they supposedly go through this training where cardboard figures pop out from behind walls and they have to discern between a bad guy and a little old Lady and all that, but the fact is, there is nothing shooting back.

Bottom line, some cannot handle the pressure, and I have no idea how to test for that. Got any ideas ?

He told the police the man was autistic and he was a caregiver. They still shot at him 3 times. Then even though they claim they were shooting at the autistic guy, they cuff the black guy and let him bleed for 20 minutes. If they had hit him a few more times they still would have cuffed him. Difference is he would have bled to death on the ground.
