ORIGINAL: CarpeEros There's at least one..and I post- I mean, and "he" posted #17,#18 above wondering if there are any on here..you mean there's at least two of us here Greta? :-) I have the impression that Green Party is very socialism leaning, that's why they are so supportive of Bernie who would fit better into the Green Party. I learn alot about them from American punk music and somehow, American punk bands always urge their fans to vote for Green Party. One thing I did learn from my dutch girlfriend is the ideology that, of why all the free education, free medical care. She explain it as, living unselfishly, and as one. That the whole country, every single dutch national is your family. So pool money together, even if it burns a hole in your pocket, to make sure, no human being will ever suffer and can live a basic decent life, without worrying about the basics of roof, meals, medical care and education. But capitalist ideology is about meritocracy. Which is what I grew up on and my country believes in. Everyone for themselves, find your own way, fix your problems. If you can't make it, that's your problem, don't expect me to pay more taxes to save your ass. It's totally different. But ya know, I am really disappointed that Switzerland did not implement the minimum free pay thing as I wanted a guinea pig country to experiment this and see the results. For me, I want whatever is most practical. Where it's sustainable and won't drown a country in debt. IF they can handle a utopic socialist system and balance the budget. I think that is great. But for now, I am not sure with the US drowning in debt, can they ever change to such a system. I didn't read indepthly about the Green Party, but if they had a realistic plan how to reduce debt as well as implement all the social welfare programs they would be for, I think they might be the best party IF they got a good plan.
