As I mentioned in post 17 her name is Jill Stein. Dr. Jill Stein (as in, M.D. degree, former physician) and the name of the party has just one color in it, btw :-) It's called the Green Party. Perhaps the size 5 font I used was still too small and folks' eyes miss the link I gave, here it is below in size 6.
The Libertarian Party I may not agree with them (well, on foreign policy they are ok) but I would give them enough respect to name him more than some libertarian guy so looked him up and his name is: Gary Johnson.
Here's a crazy idea: put links at the Poll the the Position or Plans of all the candidates, so rather than what MSM tells us we have it directly from them (may not be The Truth, true, but at least from the horses' mouths)
Anyway, neither Bernie nor Jill are about "free stuff" there's more than enough money to pay for their programs by two things.
First, ending loopholes and tricks that have corporations and the superwealthy pay less than we do often (Billionaire Warren Buffett points out the unfairness of U.S. Tax law having him pay a lower rate than his own secretary...People criticizing the tax system are unfairly, "called class-warriors" but in reality, "if there's a class war, it's being waged by my class" against the middle and working class and it should end)
Second, if instead of having 700 military bases around the world and staring wars that make us less safe, and instead of spending close to a trillion dollars a year on militarism we actually spent on defense, there's more than enough for our taxes used for useful programs like health and education. We don't just spend more than "enemies" all combined, we spend more than enemies plus all our main allies, all put together. Anyone know who Smedley Butler was? Most highly decorated Marine in U.S. history at the time. Read what he said about the military industrial profiteers. Some say we don't fight war for oil and resources because the costs of war are higher than the oil plus resources. But that forgets that the 1% gets the spoils while you and I pay for the costs of war. They are more than happy to have us pay $100 of our taxes for their war for them to make $10 in spoils.
Some think those of us on the left don't admire military people, not true. Here's a huge American hero:
