Seriously though Jeff ( for a change) , I used to used toy rubber snakes to keep the birds off my vegetable garden ( we don't have any rabbits in Queensland) and I am wondering if that might work for rabbits. Just use bigger ones maybe ? You used to be able to buy stuffed cobras rearing up, as if ready to strike, in some of those weird gift shops you see now and again. Try one of those.

most houses of parliament too

Dvr22999874 -> RE: Items needed for ultimate rabbit trap. (8/16/2016 10:34:18 PM)

I once knew a couple of members of the House of Lords ( Sir Francis Dashwood and Lord Tony Munster) and they told me that it didn't pay to be too bright there. If you showed initiative, the leader of whichever party you belonged to would come around and warn you off because you were showing up the others. It was said that he himself had only proposed one motion in all his years in the house and that was for the windows to be opened when it got over-hot one summer.

Dvr22999874 -> RE: Items needed for ultimate rabbit trap. (8/16/2016 10:37:21 PM)

And out of interest, Francis used to like nothing more than going poaching on his own grounds/property and outwitting his gamekeepers...............and Tony Munster threw up a big-paying job in advertising and became a carpenters mate earning peanuts. In other words, typically eccentric nutters of the nobility. Boy, could they both bloody drink though !!!

And I thank you too gentlefolks. I have to go and tend to saraah now. she has caught a stinking cold. you would think that being in Australia, it would be a 'hot' but no, it, just like UK, it's a cold.
Talk with yáll another time I hope and I thank the gods there IS some humour and nuttiness left on the boards here. Thank you and thank you again. The gods preserve us from all those who take themselves so bloody seriously.

Uh, gentlemen, and ladies, the peppers in question are my Carolina Reapers, they sorta make the ghost chili look mild.

And these mutant rabbits love the shit out of them!!!!

If they can handle peppers that ferocious, why should antimatter bother them any?

Well, as I said, with that much antimatter, the entire solar system would pretty much be toast, and thus the rabbits would cease to exist.

Now, granted, that might, just MIGHT make things difficult for the rest of us, and my garden would probably cease to exist.....

As for rubber snakes, if these things are eating the hottest chili peppers on the planet, I doubt a snake (rubber or otherwise) is gonna phase them one bit.

What I am trying to figure out is how the damn things are getting into the garden in the first place.

The evolution of this fence began with your standard fence (granted it was primarily to keep the deer out) and now has evolved into the fence being buried about 18 inches in the ground. There is no sign of them having tunneled into the garden, so at this point, I am beginning to think they have learned to climb.

If the rabbits can handle those peppers, then they won't even notice the annihilation of most of the solar system: they obviously don't need to breathe.

Great, forget the zombie apocalypse, the world is going to be wiped out by mutant pepper eating rabbits.
