absolutely not:)
Loved the sound, just not the players. And their early stuff.

Thing is, as this thread goes on there was so much good stuff around. this is a good thing for my old brain.
I really enjoyed heavy metal as a teen and punk, disco, soul, country, R&B, electro, glam, etc, so much to choose from so much to enjoy. (Unless you are a purist )

Well, it's hardly true that the 70's weren't....also....about The Beatles (and the 80's, 90's and.....today....however....)....the best album of the 70's....I'd have to hand that to Elton John....as to....several...(if not most) of his albums.

Don't remember if he had anything out other than his "best of" in the 80's but....if he did, then....I'd say he owns the early 80's as well.

Alice Cooper "Schools Out " was a favourite but "From the Inside" was and is one of his best albums I have(in my humble opinion)

I really like the punk ones (Zipper Catches Skin, Flush the Fashion and Special Forces) but that's getting into the '80s.

As for Elton, he's always left me a bit cold, but I do think it's very unfair that most of the fuss over him is over him showing off on the piano like a midget Liberace or his songwriting (which at its best, is pretty much Jackson Browne), rather than that rather striking voice he's got. That really is his best card and when he's got a decent song to work with where he can let rip with it, even my objections are stilled...
