Take a look at the leftist crowd of usual suspects in this forum. Every single one of their arguments - when you distill it right down - is essentially the same basic premise. The people who disagree with them are bad people. It's arrogant character assassination and ad hominem en masse.

Never mind that the majority of the left's arguments are devoid of evidence and focus on emotion (a classic manipulative strategy), never mind that people who think and reason actually demonstrate a degree of political nuance. Never mind that some people are independent thinkers and like to draw their own conclusions without having an un-elected elite tell them what to think.
