Butch...Butch...why, oh why can't you understand? He was black, Butch. He had a mental disorder, Butch. His wife (never mind that she wasn't as close to the scene as the BLACK cop who shot him) swears he didn't have a gun, Butch. He was an ex-felon (he attempted to kill someone in the early 2000's) and you KNOW ex-felons would not have a gun...that would be a crime...Butch. They just want to vote.

Charlotte cops are better shots,

At least one of them was. Hitting 4/4 to center mass from 8-10 ft. way is certainly above average for cops.

and btw the idea that cops in general get a thrill out of killing people, they get a thrill out of not being kill.

Oh my.

OK, let's try this again. Here is what I said;

quote:

What's sad is that there are more than a few on this forum and many others who think that simple failure to obey a police order is grounds for on-the-spot execution, their being belligerently oblivious to the fact that there is not a law on any books in the US that places such offense as a capital crime in the first place. Whether they admit it or not, I think they just get a thrill out of no-trial executions.

See what I did there? I bolded all the pronouns referring back to the original subject.

What/who was the original subject, in the first sentence?

Police should not be expected to be mental health experts... They want to go home to their families as well. If he was so nuts... why did the family allow him to be in that situation... with a gun. Who has the more responsibility with the mentally ill... the police are the family?

I do understand that it is almost impossible to control the mentally ill without having them committed... but if this is the case then why blame the police who were just protecting their lives?

Butch

Butch, the police claim they saw a gun in the car or were notified that Scott had a gun. North Carolina is an open carry state. No permit is required to openly carry a gun in NC. So, why did the police accost Scott? Police behavior seems somewhat bizarre in this situation.

You admit that you don't really know what the police claim, otherwise you wolud have picked one, earlier it was about drugs. I understand they may have seen him rolling weed and went to talk to kim about it.
You need to learn the difference between open carry and brandishing.
When the cops try totalk to you and you pull a firearmyou are asking for trouble.

Termyn8or -> RE: Arrogant, Entitled, Cry-Baby, and Coward (9/29/2016 4:27:46 AM)

Kinda what I am saying.

Many cops are cowards and can't really fight. They need more physical training in the martial arts. They need to be less afraid. But there is another thing, when they approach people they need to realize that they are dealing with someone who knows they are a target.

If they are 5'6" and you are 6'8" and built you better be careful in your movements. In that situation I might just tell them "I know I am a big dude, just handcuff me now". Well maybe not but you know what I mean.

And we need those cameras, with no on/off switch. I doubt that many cops are just shooting first, though some do. But when confronted realize they apparently have the legal right to kill you, though they don't like the paperwork.

Black lives do matter, but when they bring stupidity and a bad attitude to a gunfight we are probably better of without them.

How does one distinguish between rolling cigarette tobacco and weed from a distance of lets say as short as 10'?

Got a cite for that ? My eyesight is so bad I can't even ride a bicycle and I can for sure hit four for four at ten feet. In fact I could probably do it from the hip.

But then I remember the story about them spending 41 rounds on a guy with a knife. how the fuck can they become cops shooting that shitty ? I could shoot better than that when I was ten years old.

LEGALOWNERSHIP -> RE: Arrogant, Entitled, Cry-Baby, and Coward (9/29/2016 6:05:29 AM)

Cry Baby:

You seem to replace
Your brain with your heart
You take things so hard
And then you fall apart
You try to explain
But before you can start
Those cry baby tears
Come out of the dark
Someone's turning the handle
To that faucet in your eyes
They're pouring out
Where everyone can see
Your heart's too big for your body
It's where your feelings hide
They're pouring out
Where everyone can see
They call you cry baby
Cry baby
But you don't fucking care
Cry baby, cry baby
So you laugh through your tears
Cry baby, cry baby
Cause you don't fucking care
Tears fall to the ground
You just let them drown
You're all on your own and
You lost all your friends
You told yourself that
It's not you, it's them
You're one of a kind
And no one understands
But those cry baby tears
Keep coming…

Who the fuck cares ? They got no right to tell me what to smoke.

I smoke in the garage because others don't like the smell, so I think I am going to keep a gun in the garage and if they ever approach I will take as many of them with me as possible.

I am DONE fucking around here.

What kind of fucking danger to society is rolling a joint ? What, kids down the street gonna get lung cancer ? If so, how come tobacco isn't completely outlawed ?

Fukum, and the limosines they ride in on.

Whether you are right or wrong it is the law, cops don't make the law, just enforce it.

You have allowed him to distract from the point, he wasn't shot for rolling weed, he was shot because he pulled a gun.
ML aside there is a huge difference between open carry and pulling a gun when a cop asks you a question.

Cops dont give cops tickets now do they?
Had you read the doj report on furgistan you would have noted that little fact.

Lobbyists, mostly. The fact that the AMA is just as shit scared of the tobacco companies as all three branches of your government doesn't help any either, I'd expect.

On the video the cops are not asking questions. They have surrounded the vehicle and are shouting for the vic to give up his weapon. And he was shot while walking backwards. Clearly not a threat.

Open carry yes, brandishing no.
And they put on the vests, not to confront him but to arrest someone else.

He was brandishing a gun, clearly a threat, unless, of course, the people endangered are cops and there should be at least one verified dead cop before they are allowed to shoot, and that must be by a doctor.

Wrong, as usual. First the tazer that you and no one else knows about, then this.

So then:

"Police on Saturday gave this account of the fatal encounter:

Two officers in plain clothes were in an unmarked car waiting to serve a warrant when Scott’s white SUV pulled in beside them.

They saw Scott roll what they believed to be “a marijuana ‘blunt.’ ” They returned to watching for their suspect, then Vinson saw Scott hold up a gun.

They withdrew to a spot nearby and put on duty vests that said “Police” that would identify them as officers."

They did indeed put on their vests specifically to confront Scott.

Of course this begs the question of how police sitting in their vehicle could see someone else sitting in his vehicle allegedly rolling a blunt. Did Scott do this holding it up above the dash board to window height, for all to see? Seems a rather awkward position to be rolling a cigarette of whatever sort.

In any case facts are obviously not of much interest to you. Expect people to consider your opinion in any matter accordingly.
