I don't really understand the thread - what happened with the twin towers sickening but what relevance does it have to that American footballer... For perspective ( I see mnottertail has also did this) I was reading this and that the other day and it said since 911 904 UK national and soldiers were killed >5000 Chicago were gunned down with their boomsticks in that time period and I seem to recall that number exceeding the loss of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan But as this is about some NFL dude and some of his team now - They have the right, everyone has that right Does America & the UK have a race/sectarian/homophobic problem - how do I quantify that as a problem. Well I would use the 90% rule for something like that. Ah who watched the Celtic versus Rangers game over the weekend a marvellous spectacle and who can forget the Celtic ( I support them) and Die hun scum banners of some of their supporters and the rubber sex doll effigies x 2 dangling from the stand resplendid in rangers scarf - rangers supporters are no better. But should I make my stand against those two rat packs of wretched animals? Underneath a banner reading, 'This is it Bhoys, this is war', two blow-up dolls - one wearing a Rangers scarf, the other an Orange sash - with nooses wrapped round their necks and arms tied behind their backs were strung up from the upper tier. I usually make a stand at anything short of 50% - so to that end I thought the player was an asshole, and do they still have affirmative action - I view that as racist myself. Although the figures are hard to come by, as I have said before, there does seem a disparity in how many savage darkies the American Police death squads gun down but from a perspective point of view a drop in a vast ocean

I see lost opportunity…I see demonstrations that separate people rather than bring them together…I see no problem solved by demonstrations based on hate and disrespect. How have these types of demonstrations helped the problems of black America? Butch

There's this, too; Why the NFL decided to start paying taxes In any case, as both articles pointed out, the individual teams, who collectively (or any one of them, in fact) make far more than the league office, have always paid full taxes every year. But the NFL are just the worst of anti-patriots because the DOD shoves money in their face to allow them to do fighter jet fly overs on game day, n'est-ce pas?

Oh, and with the multitude of things that 'black players' could have pulled the race card on many times before, it's only for Kaepernick that they would do that just now? You are ten times more stupid than I initially thought. The 49ers would take a cap hit of ~ $16 million if they dumped him this season. It would be ~$4.6 million if they did it next year, which they were/are likely to do in any case, having zilch and nada to do with his seating arrangements during the national anthem. Again, how is Kaeps' actions increasing his market value? And please, for your own sake, just STFU about 'black players' backing him in the event SF cuts him loose. 1,000 players get cut after training camp, every year.
