Oh, deary-dear ... quote:
ORIGINAL: vincentML I disagree with Michael and everyone else who has agreed with his comments. Kaepernick can in fact be punished by the NFL for his actions. Consequently he is NOT protected by the Constitution. quote:
ORIGINAL: DaddySatyr As a result of the behavior of Colin Kaepernik and the NFL, what I would normally do is not a viable option. Kaepernik, that entitled, little pussy has decided that since his career is circling the bowl, he needs to make a name in some other way. Please notice that I linked two things. I absolutely believe that Colin Kaepernik has a constitutional right to protest and speak his mind. Part of my issue is the lack of response from the NFL. While the first amendment ensures that the arrogant cry-baby can express himself in almost any way he likes and be protected from government action, nothing says that his employer cannot take some kind of action. I'm reminded of all the sponsors that left the Rush Limbaugh Show, when he used a slur to describe that liar from Georgetown University. Also, Whoopie Goldberg lost her gig with Weight Watchers when video of her being vulgar involving the last name of a sitting president surfaced. I supported both of those incidents citing that nothing in the constitution guarantees anyone a job. In fact, the only guarantee of continued employment is making and keeping one's boss happy. Michael So, it would appear that you DO agree with me, but you ... A) Lack the reading comprehension skills to see that or B) You just need people to think I was espousing an opinion I didn't espouse. I wonder which is accurate, but more importantly: I wonder why the second option might be the case. It doesn't matter. It's ignorance, either intentional or natural. Michael
