Well, the problem is if it's your own kid who commit suicide over facebook, that be pretty shitty. And end of the day, we are dealing with a over here we use the term "strawberry generation". They don't grow up with hardships like the older folks did, they are more fragile. I mean, during my generation, my teachers, slap me, pulled my hair, smash my head onto the wall, and it was normal cuz everyone got the same shit. I used to have knuckles hit with the big wooden black board ruler until it broke. I was 8 yrs old. And it was all legal for teachers to beat the crap out of you back then. I went to a Christian school, so they would quote that spare the rod spoil the child bible verse. But this generation, IF a teacher even raise their voice at a student, the student can complain against the teacher for abuse. It's a different world now. That's the way it is. Different times, different measures. Besides, online bullying I think in many ways is more brutal than before when there is internet. It is relentless. They can also photoshop your picture with stupid things and make it go viral, you get world of strangers joining in to torment you. It's a different type of bullying. Traditional bullies can only bully you when they see you. At the worst, they can turn a whole school against you, well that be tough, maybe a whole class. But internet, they can gather thousands to gang up against you and work together, to torment you constantly. It's a different ball game I believe. Even when I was a teenager, I already gang up with hackers from different countries to basically mess up other people's computers we don't like. I was 14. But these are usually adults who we felt were bullies. So we become childish online vigilantes. And when they prove they can hack into my computer, I see them taking over my mouse. They were good, but we became friends. They made me softwares that I can click on it to keep making someone I don't like go off line. I tell ya, internet bullying is another ball game. And like my little "internet gang" were from Belgium, Germany, US, Canada and UK. We were all from different places.
