I have him on hide

Of course you do[8|] roflmfao

but your answer made me wonder what could have been said that promped that answer so I checked.
This is just one of the many lies he tells about me.

So your claim now is that you gave it to him because he couldn't afford one?
Oh and the lunch money he did not take was a gift to the underpriviledged?
Now that is a knee slapper.

That is true. The young do stupid things.

I had a young man, about 21 years old who I had taken in, fed and given a place to stay when he was homeless. He thanked me by coming back and busting in my back door and stealing from me. I know it was him, because I've taken in a great many young kids over the years and he happened to try and sell my stuff to one of them.

My oldest son, who is overly protective of me and a few of the boys I'd taken in over the years took the young man out to a cornfield and taught him some manners.

Sadly, he didn't learn his lesson. He ended up in prison and was killed. I don't know why he was stabbed in prison, but it saddens me all the same.

I do catch grief for collecting stray kids, and I keep promising myself I will stop. They all just seem to have such depressing stories at such young ages.

It seems that you taught them well.

@ BabaD

I'm not sure I agree. I'd prefer he did no harm to others, especially not on my behalf. Also, he chose a lifestyle I can't approve of. He's a good son, but not a pillar of society.

Yes that would be best, and of course I didn't know about the other things.
But then the other guy shouldn't have given him such a good reason.

Now bama you know this is not true. I challenge you to show where I said this. I would appreciate it if you quote me correctly or not at all.

This is what I said.....You realize for every story such as this there are many more of children killing themselves and others with guns don't you? If pure numbers of saved lives are rationally evaluated and actions taken you could say goodbye to your toys.

Where you got thousands I have no idea... the only way this could be correct is if there were thousands of self defense stories in St Louis...will show me?

Butch

Not in this thread, and I am not going to search your history to find in.
For there to be dead kids covered on the level you claim in St Louis there would have to be thousands killed nation wide every year.
You do realise that most cases of defensive gun uses never make it to the media.
And with there being numbers of dead kids for every defensive gun use we would need a couple million dead kids a year, just don't happen.
Otter showed you where the FBI says .5 million defensive gun uses a year at a minimum while acknowledging that defensive gun uses are grossly underreported.

If you cannot link the so called quote, which I never said, then do not claim I said it. Now find it or retract your statement. You didn't say nation wide you said St. Louis... now back up your statements or admit you were mistaken.

No I said you claim massive numbers in St Louis.
Then I said that the frequency you claim in St Louis would means thousands of kids killed every year nation wide, unfortunatly I assumed you would understand that that meant nation wide.
But just on what you admit to saying in this thread and giving you the absolute minimun meaning of numbers (2) although I am pretty sure you meant more than that you still need to show over a million kids killed in gun accidents a year. That is the fact you are trying to deflect. Put up or shut up.
Show me a million dead kids a year from gun accidents a year.

You still need to show over a million dead kids to make your numbers of kids killed for every time a ccw owner stops a crime.
I know what I said. And I know that that was not saying thousands in Mo alone but nation wide.

He still made no comment about this putting cops in danger.
He still didn't say that you can shoot anyone who causes fear in you.
The rules for stand your ground don't change, they just actually make it work like it does everywhere else.
The biggest problem I have seen was in the article I found.
They said that if a person is convicted and given probation it doesn't hit the database untill after the probation is served.
And he expressed concern that the administrative conserns will not be addressed untill next year, and I think that should be adressed right away.

kdsub -> RE: Alright, I am a gun owner, but even I think this is nuts. (9/20/2016 4:39:23 PM)

I can post links to that information as well bama... now are you going to answer directly...were you wrong in misquoting me or are you going to slander then attack when you are not man enough to admit you were wrong.

I take no pleasure in holding you accountable... but I don't take kindly to you making false claims to statements I did not make... This issue is too important for that.

Did you not read this from the article...damn read before you make a fool of yourself.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said the new law “will leave (citizens) less safe, and make the job of law enforcement more difficult and put our officers in danger.” Dotson also said that eliminating the required training courses necessary for permits means there will be people carrying concealed weapons who don’t know how to use them.

The fact that you don't remember it the same as I do proves nothing .
I believe you said it, now where are the million dead kids a year.

kdsub -> RE: Alright, I am a gun owner, but even I think this is nuts. (9/20/2016 4:50:02 PM)

You believe I said it... bama If I say something that is my opinion I say it is my opinion... If I say something as fact I always have proof to back it up... I never quote anyone without being able to link to the comment.... just as I have linked your comments when you perjured yourself in this thread.

Now one last time... link or admit you were wrong.

Butch

You accredited these comments to the sheriff not to a political appointee, I said the sheriff didn't make those comments.

Lets get to the real point of contention here.
First lets pretend that since you don't remember that means you didn't say it.
Second lets pretend that numbers of gun related accidents per defensive use just means two.
Then let us pretend that not only was Lucy's proclimation that the number was between 65 and 80 thousand a year but that it is 65,000 thousand.
Prove that there are 130,000 kid envoled rifearm accidents a year.

kdsub -> RE: Alright, I am a gun owner, but even I think this is nuts. (9/20/2016 6:28:01 PM)

You have no honor

You don't remeber saying it, I do. We don't have lies or slander in either direction, I am willing to say we just remember it different without accusing you of lying or dishonor but you have to make something horrible out of our remembering it different.
On the other hand you attribute comments by a politically appointed police cheif to a elected sheriff when you are told that sheriffs are more reliable.
Who lacks honor?
Now where is the link showing at least 130,000 shooting accidents involving children keeping in mind that in the last year when statistics are avaliable there were 505 accidental deaths and even less injuries, most being hunting accidents envolving only adults.
