I have a ccw and always carry, but that is because my front yard is the most dangerous place I go. Also I believe carry yes or carry no, but no carry so so.

The time comes when further debate is useless and if anyone gives a damn and is following the thread it is best to just let them decide for themselves if there is a point to be made. Calling people stupid and typing in bold letters just turns people off and detracts from your often good contributions. No matter how right you may be style counts when trying to change minds...and changing minds should be the reason to even comment. The thousands came from KD talking about kids deaths being reported every day in MO alone. If that many children are killed in MO alone there would have to be thousands nation wide. The last year with stats showed that at total of 505 people of all ages died in firearms accidents. The FBI reports that the number of defensive uses of firearms is at least .5 million but more likely 3 times that number, so it doesn't matter what you think of Kelck.

I think the statistic I read from the BUREAU OF defense was something like 80% of firearm deaths are from black males 18-24...which would probably be the gangbangers that Nnanji refers to. What is a concern (not that I'm implying the above isn't ) is that most of the guns involved in lethal shootings are stolen.

The bad ass with a ccw who is always crackin large on "situational awareness" bullshit gets punked for his gun and his lunch money. His story was that the "bad guy" snuk up behind him and got the drop on him. My suggestion for the future would be tht he only buy a jennings...that way he does not loose much monitarily and the potential grenade will most likely go off in the hand of the "bad guy"

That is true. The young do stupid things. I had a young man, about 21 years old who I had taken in, fed and given a place to stay when he was homeless. He thanked me by coming back and busting in my back door and stealing from me. I know it was him, because I've taken in a great many young kids over the years and he happened to try and sell my stuff to one of them. My oldest son, who is overly protective of me and a few of the boys I'd taken in over the years took the young man out to a cornfield and taught him some manners. Sadly, he didn't learn his lesson. He ended up in prison and was killed. I don't know why he was stabbed in prison, but it saddens me all the same. I do catch grief for collecting stray kids, and I keep promising myself I will stop. They all just seem to have such depressing stories at such young ages.
