You just said that cops shouldn't have the same protections to a fair trial as other people.

You are a lying punkassmotherfucker. You are the only one who has said that.

Simply put...the public will see what it wants to see.

That certainly applies to you. Why did you not show the cops sicking the attack dogs on the mlk protest?

As it does to you. You see what ISN'T there. As I'm sure the majority of the rioters would...in their case, a book.

I can't show what's not in the picture. And if you can find an instance where I've ever said the police turning the dogs and hoses on those peaceful protestors was o.k., bring it forth. Otherwise, you're just running your mouth thinking you're a wit.

Earlier in this thread didn't you agree that there was no excuse for the Tulsa shooting?

No. But a few examples of the victimization undercurrent in your posts do come to mind. We've all heard endlessly about the evildoers who lurk every few feet any time you leave the house. And all the mean people who call you racist, even though you had a black wife. And the poor Southerners wrongly accused of building their economy on slavery and waging war against the U.S. to maintain that"peculiar institution."

Even in the exchange we just had, you shifted automatically into victim mode. What could have been a reasonable discussion over what information to share when and how balance the rights of LEOs with those of the people they serve became a song and dance about how I was "proclaiming" cops to be second-hand citizens.

Do you remember the shooting in MD by an AF NCO of a man who pushed into his house at 2am, demanded that the NCO's wife leave with him and attacked the NCO and you insisted that the only reason he shot the thug was because he was black?

No, I don't. And frankly, I don't trust your characterization of other posters' statements. If you have a link to my actual words, I'll look at them.

You may not be anti cop but you sure are anti white.

LOL! That'll be fun to share with my white family and friends. [:)]

Here too, you grasp at victimhood. The person you disagree with can't simply be mistaken or have a different perspective. No, he must be an "antiwhite" oppressor stomping all over you.

I wanted to crawl under the table when I first heard it. Now, I've come to surmise that it's not necessarily taught because the Irish moved on & by not dwelling on past atrocities, we've been able to raise our status in the world. Wouldn't it be awesome if all races were just proud & focused on the bright future & not the dark past?".

Did you notice who the author was?
Did you fact check this or is this just another attempt by you to mitigate your "white guilt"? If it is not trying to mitigate your "white guilt" then why post it?

I don't have any "white guilt". I leave that to those who've got something to feel guilty about. In the same manner, I don't blame all blacks for destroying other people's property or stealing other people's property. I blame it on those guilty of it. In the same manner, I don't believe all Democratic politicians would believe it was the 4 Year old girl who instigated her own rape. I blame it on the P.O.S. Democrat who did it.

Probably not.

In instances of potential police misconduct, however, I could see the argument that the public has the right--perhaps even the responsibility--to know how public servants, acting on their behalf, are (mis)using the special powers allowed to them in their role as officers. Transparency seems particularly important in places where there's been a record of papering over police overreach, leading to legitimate community concerns about whether citizens can trust law enforcement.

I agree with this but I think they should wait until the incident has been investigated before they do.

Now you are claiming that the cops did not sic attack dogs on peacful protestors? Denying history seems to be your long suit.

I can't show what's not in the picture.

What you mean is you won't show what is counterproductive to your arguement.

And if you can find an instance where I've ever said the police turning the dogs and hoses on those peaceful protestors was o.k., bring it forth. Otherwise, you're just running your mouth thinking you're a wit.

So far you have failed to acknowledge that it hapened which would seem to be prima facia evidence that you would approve. Why have you not posted your opposition to that sort of police racist behaviour?
Your silence on this issue is deafining.
When the protestors are armed the cops seem to lack the balls to confront them. On the other hand we have abundant evidence of gutless cops attacking unarmed peacful prostetors which by your lack of approbation lends your support to those actions.

CreativeDominant as many have pointed out that is urban legend. When I come across articles like that I usually look up a few other sources.

Heritage - I think that is an American fascination; as they lack history and time. For their land is a mere 400 years olde, or is it 500 - that one I think, and it is bereft of history before.

I describe myself as an (ea)Urthling, and a Scottish one at that - do I dislike the English - that is more complex to answer. And I have dated a few English wenches in my life, before I sold them for cake money, one welsh one too – thing is I may hate the welsh more than the English - I cannot decide which of those two are the most useless meekest (by no means all)

Both ,my parents were Scottish, 4 of my grandparents were born in Scotland and before them I am not certain My mum’s nee is Irish, and my dad’s English

Ireland is difficult for me to explain. Are there any Irish on here to give a brief History of time?

There is another Scottish one on here - if you would like to do that for Scotland then please do

You are the one who started this pity party. To exculpate your soul of any white guilt since "your ancestors" suffered more egregiously than the blacks....that since "your tribe" has moved on why can't "they"

Sorry, for some reason I had your history as that of cloudboy.
Normally you are reasonable, though I do not agree with you that often.
I do still believe that your suggestion would relegate cops to 2nd class citizen status.
As people, and individuals they deserve the same protections everyone else has.

I posted this before but you may have missed it.

You're a funny little man. I didn't start a pity party. I brought something to the board that I find interesting since all I was taught in school way back when was about black slavery. If you'd have used that three digit IQ you swear you have, you might have been able to figure it out.
The fact that I'm white doesn't make me part of any tribe with all that the word 'tribe' represents. The KKK is a tribe, the White Aryan Party is a tribe, the Democratic and Republican parties are tribes. The first two are reprehensible, the last two act more and more like idiots. I am me.

As for failure to substantiate my position? When has anyone...other than those you agree with from the start...been able to do that with you? I can see when fault lies even with those that I wish it didn't. You can't and your silence when it comes to those matters as it pertains to your position is much more indicative of your I.Q. than mine.

Yes, there are times when I agree with them...and disagree...and past posts reflect that. How about you bring forth any post where you disagreed with Lucy? Talk about knee pads...

I pointed out that it was rhetorical, and sarcastic. Apart from the fact it is true or not that MLK was assassinated?
I know, how about you go around jumping on everyone that puts words in someones mouth, in just this topic, then I will take you seriously. you have enough to keep yourself busy for a month at least.
OR you can start with post 59
where CD said
quote:

I know it would work better for your narrative above if King had been killed by an out of control cop...but he wasn't.

I never said or implied either. And wouldnt. I can see why you would accept this as gospel tho.

Should I quote more? like Bama, who is lying blatantly about DC and his anti white hatred. which is obviously bullshit, but noooooooo you come to shit on my head, for something I stated was rhetorical.

Thompson and I have disagreed on many things,
no knee pads needed

now about putting words into peoples mouths...
quote:

If they're rioting, they're not protesting. King seemed to know that...pity you and the rioters don't. Of course, King was a man who wasn't interested in free, stolen stuff...he was interested in change. I know it would work better for your narrative above if King had been killed by an out of control cop...but he wasn't.

Show me one place where I said I want all the rioters to die.

Tis a shame they're not as concerned over the violence they do to innocents as you are over any violence done to them in an effort to quell the violence, the damage, the pain they're inflicting.

Where have I said or implied such???? ever
pity party indeed.
