Ten times Trump shamed others on tax http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-37535643
…..Donald Trump's past tweets about taxes are drawing fresh scrutiny after the New York Times reported he paid no taxes for nearly two decades having declared losses approaching $1bn.
The Republican presidential candidate has used his Twitter megaphone in recent years to wag a finger at everyone from Barack Obama to Mark Zuckerberg on paying their fair share…..

US election 2016: Trump 'a genius' if he paid no taxes – allies http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-37533263
White House candidate Donald Trump's allies have said he is a "genius" if a report is true that he paid no federal income taxes for 18 years.
The New York Times said it had received some of Mr Trump's 1995 tax documents revealing $915m losses that allowed him to legally avoid paying taxes.
The real estate tycoon's camp refused to confirm or deny the report, but said the filing was "illegally obtained".

There's no evidence at this point that Mr Trump did anything improper. Just because it's legal, however, doesn't mean this revelation isn't potentially damaging. First, Mr Trump has staked his campaign on being a savvy businessman, and posting a financial loss so large that his tax accountant's software couldn't process the number could undermine that claim.

You seem an authority on such matters. Do you have some tips for me for stealing other peoples pictures and for me to pretend I am a women. And, will I require a medical procedure to become as you, perhaps a lobotomy carried out by a deranged squirrel gone errantly awry.

Why are you assuming that being crooked and a genius are opposed? There's many some would argue have ticked both of those boxes.

Alot of middle class Americans who pay federal tax might be upset that he used legal loopholes to evade taxes.

But to me, I expect every rich person to use legal loopholes to evade taxes. Rich people pay experts to handle all these for them to pay as little tax as possible.

And over here, I know plenty of guys working in MNC, who request their company to pay their salary in a country with zero taxes. So they can pay zero tax despite making over 100k per annum and above. They simply open a bank account there, and claim they gotta travel alot for work. That's why they are barely in that country. There are loopholes.

And companies do that to help employees avoid taxes.

Almost billion dollars loss in a year.......I wonder how much that would translate into todays dollars?

Doesn't mean he is either at least in the classical sense although you could stay he is 'stealing' from his moral responsibilities and contribution to society at large.

He's just a typical plutocratic, greedy, capitalist scum. Even Madison warned of such plutocracy and its unbalanced influence on laws and in this case...tax laws.

So he and his ilk 'purchase' these advantages to codify their greed and are supposedly to be applauded for using the very code they sought ?

So of course it's just more 'legal' bribery and it certainly doesn't take anything close to genius...to follow through.

Again, note that Warren Buffet happily uses all the loop holes to pay less taxes than his secretary.

And then despite that, he wants to campaign to tax rich people like himself more money! And he built up a coalition of multi-millionaires and billionaires including Bill GAtes, to support his proposal.

I mean, it's contradictory, if he wanted to be charged more money, why did he use the loopholes in the first place? And I am sure Bill GAtes, and whoever else is in his team ALL exploited the loopholes!

Rich people do this shit! That's all I can say. They exploit loopholes, and then they feel they want to help the world by changing the loopholes they been exploiting. Because they made too much money and no more challenge anymore. Now they wanna do good before they die.

He is a loser.

Don't you mean, he screwed the federal government out of a lot of money? Taxes are not the same as investments. The money he used as a write off can easily be dismissed by the investments he's made in all his other holdings since and any jobs they've created.

Hell, I've done the same thing for losses I've taken and I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination. And without that legal ability in the tax code, I could have lost my home.

By the way, Lucy, I'm just curious...have you ever actually owned a business of your own?

Some Sheeple are saying he is a genius for his use of the tax system.

I'm approaching it from another direction. His business(es) lost a BILLION in a year and some stupid assed people are calling him a genius?
Maybe he is compared to them.

Would you also say that if I made $50,000 last year that I am 20,000x as smart as this so-called "Genius"?

I think there'd be more who'd tick a 'crook' and a 'dumbarse' box. I mean, his rep for being an astute businessman has been roundly shot to hell, of course - but does he have well-regarded brain for anything at all?

Can you name one corporation with a value in the billions of dollars that has never incurred a loss?

that's absolute utter tripe, unless of course, like you've done here in the past and seemingly like what most liberals do, which is, redefine the word "hate" to suit their agenda, not to mention so in their supposed moral superiority they can appear more compassionate and sleep better at night.

get a clue.
