I could be wrong, but I don't think Peon or others meant that there was no such man as ever said anything like that, but the statement rather being expressed in a rhetorical sense, something like 'the typical man doesn't say that.'

No one is denying your own experience, here, as I hope you don't deny others'.

But keep in mind the notion some present that, supposedly, "humans are naturally/inherently violent."

There's no shortfall of examples to supply the argument for/against on that one, either.
